OK so first you have to make up your mind - can't go to a luxury yacht with a budget cruise mentality - ever 😃 Can't order a flatbread - it's disrespectful. Whole grain and quinoa everything, high end high style food - at all times. No burgers, fries or "Yorkshire pudding" (known as poopovers :-) Super healthy, super high, super style. Or just don't go and don't pay the price. Ask them and they'll make just about all food custom for you. Menu is advisory 😃 But you have to know what you want, at least roughly. Like "I'd like something with uni tomorrow - healthy and tasty, I'll leave details to the chef" 😃 Not kidding - the guy will break his back to show off. Just make sure you praise his work latter 😇 And you should have just taken that kitten - you are on a luxury yacht - it's normal to take home a few things. Don't ask for permission - just take it and have an excuse if anyone asks latter (they won't - you paid for a little extravaganza ) Your excuse for a kitten is that it's cute and it likes you and that's enough 😃😃

You mentioned the 'Aussie Burger', well here in Oz we call it a "Works Burger". It has the fired egg, beetroot, pineapple, tomato, lettuce, onions, meat patty and bacon with BBQ sauce! It's a must ;-)
I'm an American who's had the Aussie "Works Burger" during my vacation in Sydney. 🍔 I never dreamed that beets on a burger could taste so good. 😋 Here in the states, we can get a fried egg on a burger, but there's no comparison. 😢

It's pretty common here to either have a burger topped with a fried egg available at restaurants (sometimes called a breakfast burger or hangover burger on the menu) or have the option to add a fried egg to a burger for an additional charge. I've never seen it referred to as Australian style, though.
A runny yolk is pretty good but even better? Over medium imo. You get a smooth, gel like yolk but it's not as messy as an over easy or sunny side up egg added to a burger.
I can’t believe a drinks package is an extra cost on yacht trip that expensive! Emma, you should look into going on a small yacht charter with your family and or friends, where everything is included and you are the only guests.

I love a fried egg on a burger. Here in the US, that's called a farm style or in some cases, a royal style burger. From what I've heard, it may be somewhat regional within the US. Whatever it is, it is good. When that egg is cooked perfectly so that there is just enough yolk to run out and soak into the burger and bun, but not so much that it all runs out onto the plate, it is just amazing.
I was introduced to the fried egg on a burger at Red Robin in Indiana. I think they call it the Royal Red Burger or something like that. It was yummy indeed. Jeff’s description of the yolk is perfect.
In Australia more likely to get beetroot on hamburger, steak sandwich, but get one with the lot and egg will also be on it, with cheese and sometimes cooked onion.

Originally a crib was a place where corn cobs were stored, and then became what a baby bed was called. Using it as slang for your place was a 90's/2000's slang term, which is what you referred to. But it described a baby bed long before it meant your pad/place... lol😂

I have taken small river cruise ships in America and I do like those smaller cruise ships that hold 2500 guest, and 1250 crew members... I never been on a mega cruise ship ... Someday I will do that maybe when school has started which I hope would have less kids on the mega cruise ship... Australian here. Yes, we do sometimes put egg burgers. Usually sunny side up. It isn't standard though and often have to pay extra for an egg unless it's on there by default

Aussie here. A typical hamburger here has meat patty, onions, tomato, lettuce, cheese, beetroot, bacon and an egg. Plus you can usually add pineapple too. So traditional burgers here are usually very filling and delicious. And that’s the reason why when MacDonalds first came to Australia, their burgers weren’t very well received.

In OZ it is quite common to add extras to hamburgers such as egg, cheese, pineapple. But all good burgers come with beetroot which is a real aussie favourite.
@7:39 - Ketchup on pizza...still to this day. It started in high school with that institutional pizza they served. My wife gets a pizza occasionally called Nardones. Tastes like high school. Ketchup is a must. A good pie from a real shop - only if I am eating it cold the next day. Otherwise it's fine plain.
How would you compare this to Viking? I love Viking, more passengers, but the rooms, excursions, food are all great. Very interesting about the white houses on the islands in Greece. This is why I love excursions-get to learn so much about the place you are visiting.

Looks like some of their cruises are competitive with Oceania. It looks wonderful, I will definitely look at them for a future trip. Normally I like a balcony but on such a small ship with so much deck space I think we would be content with an ocean view.

I went on a cruise as a teen and hated it. Emma makes everything so delightful that it's just a Lovely watch.

Beautiful Yacht another great tour Emma I loved all the rooms very elegant and classy... I have taken small river cruise ships in America and I do like those smaller cruise ships that hold 2500 guest, and 1250 crew members... I never been on a mega cruise ship ... Someday I will do that maybe when school has started which I hope would have less kids on the mega cruise ship... I take a cruise ship to relax and be pampered not to hear screaming kids....Take care Emma, and God bless you...
Australian here. Yes, we do sometimes put egg burgers. Usually sunny side up. It isn't standard though and often have to pay extra for an egg unless it's on there by default
What I learned today: If Emma invites you to her crib for potatoes, you will find neither a cot nor a crib.

I thought yachts were all inclusive! I was surprised at the drinks package and that cost. I have an Arctic expedition yacht booked for next year, I wonder how similar it will be to this experience ❤

Just watched this, looks fabulous. I'm an Aussie and an Aussie burger does have a burger, egg, bacon, cheese and beetroot. We call it a burger with "the lot". Delicious
Aussie here. A typical hamburger here has meat patty, onions, tomato, lettuce, cheese, beetroot, bacon and an egg. Plus you can usually add pineapple too. So traditional burgers here are usually very filling and delicious. And that’s the reason why when MacDonalds first came to Australia, their burgers weren’t very well received.

An Aussie burger has the usual cheese, lettuce, tomato, and sauces. It also has a fried egg, bacon, beetroot, fried onions, and, sometimes, pineapple.

Awesome, enjoying your channel. Yes I had a burger in Sydney in 1998 and it was topped with a fried egg. Different but good. And tell your Dad that Sydney had great tasting keg Guinness. !! Would love to sail on a yacht. I love the Bravo series "Below Deck" good show about the crews of expensive super-yachts with capacity for 10 guests.
In OZ it is quite common to add extras to hamburgers such as egg, cheese, pineapple. But all good burgers come with beetroot which is a real aussie favourite.

Im a South African living in the UK. Always have an egg on my burger. Also our local pub in the UK does offer this option. :)

@7:39 - Ketchup on pizza...still to this day. It started in high school with that institutional pizza they served. My wife gets a pizza occasionally called Nardones. Tastes like high school. Ketchup is a must. A good pie from a real shop - only if I am eating it cold the next day. Otherwise it's fine plain.
How would you compare this to Viking? I love Viking, more passengers, but the rooms, excursions, food are all great. Very interesting about the white houses on the islands in Greece. This is why I love excursions-get to learn so much about the place you are visiting.
I was thinking the same, the history you learn on the excursions is my favorite part!
Ooo, I do love Viking. That’s a big ocean ship though this was a tiny yacht. Quite hard to compare, I need more space than this box haha. If you come to a live stream and ask or ask in my Patreon podcast I can take more time and try! (I’ll think about it) 😀❤️
Looks like some of their cruises are competitive with Oceania. It looks wonderful, I will definitely look at them for a future trip. Normally I like a balcony but on such a small ship with so much deck space I think we would be content with an ocean view.

Really great video, Emma! I've always been curious about yacht cruising. And I'm not sure if the fried egg on the burger is an australian thing, but it definetely is a brazilian thing! Almost every burger place here has the option to add a fried egg on top and it's many people's favorite (not mine though haha)
