Distance: Approximately 29 kilometers
Location: Watopia
Description: Begin your ride in downtown Watopia and head out on Ocean Boulevard for a pleasant flat warm-up.
As you pedal through the ocean tunnel, don’t forget to wave to the friendly whale!
Transition to dry land and explore the dusty fishing village. Enjoy the short, snaking climb that leads you up to Watopia’s main “Hilly Route.”
Now you’re on the Hilly Route in reverse. Cross the 360 Bridge and pass Hank’s Gas Station, where the reverse KOM (King of the Mountain) segment begins. Give that initial pitch a strong effort, then maintain speed for the rest of the climb.
Descend from the KOM banner, ride through downtown Watopia again, and tackle the timed reverse sprint over the JWB (Julynn Washington Bridge).
After catching your breath, navigate the cobbled streets of the Italian Villas and prepare for the forward KOM, which is shorter and steeper than the reverse.
Descend from the forward KOM, ride past the noisy waterfall, and revisit the Italian Villas.
Hit the forward sprint section, cross the JWB once more, and take on the short, straight kicker into the Esses.
Finish your ride in downtown Watopia, feeling accomplished and exhilarated!
