Despite it not being as strong as the seasons later on, I have a fondness for Season 1. Robot Monster, The Slime People, The Black Scorpion, these are all fun.
@@mikey-wl2jt what does it matter to you? who are you, the attitude police? 🤦🏻♂️🤣 Thing is that’s how annoying that character is to Me. That I have to say that if someone brings him up.
This is the very first episode of MST3k I ever saw on tv. I spent most of it trying to figure out what crow and Tom looked like just from their silhouette. It didn’t work well
Good that we're seeing more classic episodes here on yootoob. The picture is not as sharp as that on the released Shout Factory DVDs, but still quite watchable.
6:50 🎉😂🎉 Marty Feldman's first role? 9:40 😮 "... those Moonmen and their Moon-units" 10:07 😂😂😂 rented the plane with a built-in under-wing bomb mount (and cabin release cable) to two men with a bomb having identical bomb mounting fixtures? Sounds about right 😂
The movie seems like a series of 1 or 2 people going off to try something with the rest, against orders, following a few minutes later. In heavy. action hiding fog. Bet there was much high fiving at the wrap party.
😂 Leith Stevens could have really improved this film.🎉 But it's really tops, watching this during a thunderstorm, rolling across and echoing between the Southern Colorado Rockies... 59:55

The show didn’t really hit its stride until the middle seasons. The production values, which were never great, got better as the show went on. Every villain needs a good henchman and TV’s Frank was perfect. He and Dr Forrester played off each other and had great chemistry. It was never as good after Frank Conniff then Trace Beaulieu left the show. Although Mary Jo Pehl had her moments. I liked Joel but I tried of the “invention exchange” segment and preferred Mike Nelson. Kevin Murphy and Trace Beaulieu were a great robot team. Every other combination paled by comparison. They had different comedic styles and were a great duo. The movies themselves were secondary. I tuned in for the skits and the shorts. Loved the shorts! The reboot just didn’t do it for me. The original cast was lightening in a bottle and then one by one everyone left….
The reboot didn’t do it for me either. The minute I heard the high voice they used for Crow- I turned it off. Just wasn’t the same. The old series is great, and boy was I glad this UA-cam channel started!
Yeah, that Crow voice is annoying. Everyone chooses sides on the Joel vs Mike debate. But it’s Trace as Dr Forrester and Crow that are the backbone of the show’s success.
@@thomasmoshier3920 Roger that! I'm 65 now and my wife thinks I'm nuts when I watch the show and laugh my butt off at times. I used to watch the show during my 24-hour paramedic shifts back in Ohio. Someone gave me a Crow decal that I put on our drug box… lol! Drove my Chief crazy! 😄 !_;_!
Mike > Joel. Sorry, strongly disagree. The show was funnier once Mike took over hosting duties. Don't get me wrong, I like Joel. He's cool. But my issue during his Era, was when he and the bots did a riff, there were too many instances where there would be dead air for several seconds, before they'd say another riff. And you're sitting there like, "They could have added something funny there." And over time, his pop culture references would get so outdated. Alot of the stuff Mike has said still rings true nearly 3 decades later. Also, when Mike took over, the bots were just funnier towards him, as if Mike was their big brother, while they viewed Joel as more of their Father figure. They seemed to make Mike try to lose his sanity with their antics. Didn't get that a whole lot with Joel. And even if Joel was the creator, Mike was also the Head Writer throughout his run.
thanks for keeping me company and keeping it weird for the last (mumble) years!

I am fond of the first season. "Slime People," "Mad Monster," and "Robot Monster" are among my favorites.
Joel is annoying af tho!! I can’t stand him lol I usually don’t watch if he’s in them unless I want to watch that specific movie with some laughs.

They were having a hard time riffing this snoozefest.

This movie still needs more smoke and fog, I can sorta still see what's going on.

Should they be freezing to death after walking into a walk-in freezer? And don't most of those lock automatically from the OUTSIDE?
What kind of walk in refrigerators you've seen, that automatically try to lock people in them? XD
I’m surprised that walk-in freezer has windows.
