I legit thought 343 were trolling when I saw Mini Slayer, but I'm really glad they decided to surprise us with it alongside everything in the event. Imagine trying this with 24 players, sounds like something we need to test in our gamenight this weekend
Speaking of that, I hope that you guys like Fallen and Longbow because I've made all of the updates that I'm going to make until it's tested at this week's game night.
I have been begging for Mini-slayer to come back for years. It was one of the best modes in Halo 4 hands down.

Mini Slayer gives me hope that 343 knows that social and fun features should be in the game, and and it doesn’t always need to be super serious and competitive. Halo 3/Reach Customs were all about fun party game modes with friends.
I had no idea this was in the game and when it popped up last night I was dying laughing the whole match lol

We need a Dogfight playlist where banshees and wasps throw down in aerial combat. But it's insta-death if you eject and it's round based to give everyone a chance to rotate vehicles and show true skill

@kingstongary9103 it should be 4 rounds 1 round banshee 1 round wasp and 2 rounds both with even and equal amount on both sides.
Don't kill right away if eject, instead give everyone grappling hooks and have them die 10 seconds after ejection so you can skyjack someone if you are lucky.

I think it's not just 343 that's having a laugh here, it's all of us players as well who are squeaking around the map with weapons flailing all over the place.
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one nonetheless. Looking forward to more stupid fun modes moving forward!

All we need is a pre/post game lobby (maybe they could throw in a veto system) and this game will be complete imo. They're taking nice steps in the right direction lately tho
Agreed, that and Firefight, and we'll be there! Firefight is definitely coming S5 which is great, but I'd love to hear some news about a pre/post game lobby from 343. S4 was a nice step up with Infection and the career progression system though 👌

Solitude is a great map. Mini slayer is hilarious and a good time but def feels like it belongs in custom games. I'm fine with it not having its own playlist but if it did I would play it a lot for sure haha.
The Spartans aren't tiny... they are just holding comically large weapons

They need to add the mixtape function from mcc where we can choose what game modes to match for
I really wonder what the reason for playlists instead of that mixtape stuff is.. Is it so that they can sort of guide players to where the popular gamemodes are? I had always envisioned that even if badly launched which it kinda was, that Infinite would basically be the sort of modern MCC for players who wanted the new Halo but still had that platform feel of MCC, you would basically be able to do anything regarding Halo now and beyond on Infinite. I mean, it is in the name after all.. It just doesn't make sense for a Halo 7 to exist, the artstyle is literally one of the best in terms of mixing modern Halo with old Halo (Halo 3 is second best because of the "anime" inspirations, CE is the best.).
Having mini vehicles would be cool on all the maps too 😉
Thank God 343 are finally leaning slightly more into the social side of Halo now with these types of gamemodes. Stuff like this is exactly what made Halo compete so well against CoD and Battlefield because Bungie knew that it didn't have to focus on a competitive, sweatfest of a game - that's what the ranked playlist was there for. Instead they focused on the sandbox and social aspects of it and placed emphasis on the community and just playing for fun
Here's hoping that we get more social gamemodes going foward, things like Grifball, Team Sumo, HaloBall and maybe original ones created by 343 because this is exactly what made Halo's multiplayer so great and why so many of us have great memories playing H3 and Reach

Mini slayer is so fun but I played social slayer for a couple hours yesterday and only got mini slayer once :
Mini Slayer seems like fun, but the one time I played it, the strafing speed felt overly slow and sluggish. Was that a one-time issue that I ran into, or is the mode normally like that? I haven't seen anyone else bring it up, so idk.

I wasn't fully on board with Solitude before playing on it and while I prefer the original aesthetic, I dig the rundown look. Looks great and the name fits perfectly.
Still annoys me not all maps are all in Arena playlists. Where are Starboard and Solitude in non ranked playlists? If they are keeping them out because they want everyone to be able to play what they expect than we need a veto system back because a playlist becomes pretty easily stale

Hey that's fair man, not everyone will like modes like this, and that's perfectly fine! Gotta say the game has been playing a lot better for me personally since S4. Only thing that still sucks are all the games over 200 ping, kinda sucks being an Australian lol
Why would they fix it? This is part of the F2P Live Service style. Never fix the game and make you spend millions on cosmetics that are overpriced.

I think mini slayer was probably the most fun I’ve had in infinite for the first time in a long time, ngl though it was kinda hard to get kills sometimes lol. Just really hope they keep it up and bring us more fun modes like that, and who knows maybe we might even get action sack??

@@jmgonzales7701 That’s an assault rifle with one of the new models. It’s should be in the shop currently, unfortunately it’s part of a bundle so you can’t buy the model on its own.
