Variety show in honor of HM King Maha Vajiralongkorn's birthday anniversary, July 26, 2017 at the National Theatre, Bangkok. This video is edited from the Ministry of Culture's Facebook Live video of the show. Synopsis: Hanuman, Angad and Jambuvan lead a band of troops on a reconnaissance mission to find the way to Lanka. While resting by a pond one night, Angad is attacked by a demon. Quickly overpowered by Angad, the demon, whose name is Pakkalan, reveals that he is serving out punishment for engaging in an affair with one of the apsaras in Indra's heaven. Told that Angad and company are Rama's soldiers, Pakkalan asks that they end his life so that he can be reborn in heaven. Angad obliges and the merry band goes on its way. When they come upon an abandoned city, Hanuman goes in alone to investigate and finds a beautiful maiden, Busamalee, living there all by herself. An apsara sent to earth as punishment for an offense committed in Indra's heaven, she has been waiting for Hanuman with divine instructions to tell him the way to Lanka, but first he has to prove who he is, which he does by yawning moons and stars out of his mouth. Her mission on earth accomplished, Hanuman sends the apsara back to heaven with a mighty throw (but only after seducing her). Following Busamalee's directions, the monkeys find themselves facing a seemingly impassable mountain. In a bid to rouse his dejected troops, Hanuman mentions Jatayu, who gave his life coming to Sita's aid during her abduction by Ravana. This attracts the attention of Jatayu's brother Sampati, who lost all his feathers during a long-ago encounter with the Sun God and has been hiding in a cave in the mountain. They monkeys proceed to help Sampati regain his feathers by giving three rousing cries. To show his gratitude, the bird takes Hanuman on a reconnaissance flight to Lanka.
