    I started in the construction business in 1960 at the age of 14 cleaning out houses pryor to CO, and finally being forced to retire in 2010 because of the failure of wall streets GREED. so i've seen my fair share of concrete pours through out the 50 yrs in the trade. Your company is a class act, paying attention to the smallest of details is what has made you a success. You make it look easy

    I loved you calling out all of us sidewalk superintendents who are ready to pounce on you. I always enjoy watching you guys stamping concrete probably because I have very little experience with it. Even in my retirement I still love learning new things in the trade.

    I really love the stamped concrete... Especially the vertical sides looking like cut stone! I imagine it adds a fair amount to the cost to do this, but it's definitely worth it for the finished product! Nice work, as always, guys!

    The patio is beautiful! All the plain isn't even plain, you guys make it look so good! Very nice work! I wouldn't be surprised to see you called back to add more patio around the house, it's so beautiful! The pressure you're under has to be immense. The windows controlled by heat, wind, cold, rain, the suns sun's rays and the permanence of your work. Also, you mentioned new hires, man, training new guys added to your stress, you have to be rock solid Tom, I can't help but praise you. Your attitude is just awesome, my hat is off to you sir! Your work just increased the value of that house exponentially! Well done! Great video today, I watched OWTM, then your video, now I've gotta get going, thanks for sharing Tom!👍👌❤

    good work man, not a big fan of antique, I like permatique or ez tique, you should try to learn that u will like it better and the sealer gets a better bond rather than leaving bubble gum on it, not saying u r wrong or anything but u should check it out. I did hear u say u wash it so the sealer should bond

    What size is 1B stone? In Vermont when I was in the industry, our 1-1/2 in stone was A-stone, 3/4 in. was P-stone, and 3/8 in. was grits. Mike Morgan always refers to 2A lime stone.

    Sorry but rods in a drilled hole at the bottom of a slab does nothing to keep that pad connected to the house !! Its not likely that it will pull away form the house but unless there is concrete surrounding the rods they are useless !! Learned that from a structural engineer years ago !!

      It shouldn’t sink or lift though.

    • @UNKPCRIDE
      @UNKPCRIDE 2 роки тому

      its about not having the slab sink, or lift. People criticize it because its possible for the ground to heave upwards, and because its attached to the house foundation, it would crack the foundation. That's the thought anyways. I've never seen it happen. I just fixed my patio where the slab sunk down, had to use wedges and force it up, then pour another slab connecting the two slabs.
