Great historical overview of the airfield. Visits to San Francisco always include Crissy Field. It makes for a great stop before you get over to Fort Point. Hoping a video is forthcoming about that fort.
I have fond memories of my walks through Crissy Field when I lived in SF in the 80s and 90s. And my landlord (born in 1904) had memories of visiting the 1915 World's Fair as an eleven-year-old. Fantastic work as always, Kendall!
Although I was stationed at Treasure Island back in the late 60's, I have never heard of Crissy Field. Thanks again Kendall for a very informative video. Loved seeing those old airplanes as well.
It's lovely to have discovered your channel. I live in the Richmond district of SF, just 2 blocks from The Presidio. Just last week my weekly walking group did another wonderful outing along the trail at Crissy Field - to The Bridge. How lucky we are!
