I first made this recipe about a month ago, i did it purely in my dehydrator and skipped the final oven dry. This recipe is the BEST jerky recipe ive ever tried. Perfect balance of everything. Not overly sweet or salty! I was worried about how much liquid smoke went in but it turns out absolutely perfect. I have a new batch marinating in the fridge as i type this!
I’m so glad you like the recipe. I’ve got a new series of videos it’s jerky recipes inspired by States of America. Alabama spicy bbq jerky is the first recipe of the 50. It’s already on youtube. I just recorded Arizona Southwest jerky for next Thursday 3/02/2023. Alaska will be after that. These are very easy and unique recipes I’ve made just for you. Small batch beef jerky. One batch at a time.
This weekend I made my first ever jerky batch using this recipe. Followed it to a T. Tried some out of the dehydrator and it was gross. Tried it again after it cooled off from the oven. Still gross. I thought I'd done something wrong and ruined the entire batch... The next day I tried it out of the fridge and it was truly the best beef jerky I had ever tasted. I brought some to work to share. Everyone agreed the best beef jerky ever. Is that common or did something magical happen to it overnight in my refrigerator? 🤣🤣🤣. Thanks for sharing the video. You turned me into a jerky pro literally overnight.
Just started making my own beef jerky and found this recipe as well. I did add some red pepper flake to the marinade, and it did add a little 'kick' to the jerky! Thanks for the video I learn something with each new batch.
I do the oven part first, something I picked up long ago. Heat the meat to 140, doesn’t take long, supposed to kill bacteria. Then into the dehydrator. I love trying different recipes too. And if I can’t get round, I use London broil, a little more $ but nice and lean. I’ll be trying this one next.
London Broil is a thick cut of top round. So it's still round. I buy the cheapest cats I can find and Winco sells sliced bottom round for $2.98/lb occasionally. In fact, that's the price right now! Go STOCK UP.
I've seen studies which say the jerky turns out better if you put it in a 200 degree oven for 5-7 minutes after dehydrating to make sure it reaches a safe temp of 165 degrees.
My Son just got a dehydrater in the post yesterday,,,, and he tested it out with fruit last night, I've always wanted a dehydrater for trying beef jerky,, so now he has one, I can't wait to try it when we get the ingredients,, I like my jerky spicy, not too spicy, but with a little kick !!!! Will try this resipie of yours ,take care stay safe👍
That’s awesome about your son. I started making jerky when I was probably 10 yrs old with a ronco food dehydrator. It literally took a day and a half haha. But that led me to making a lot of money on the side selling small batch jerky. I sold my business in 2016. Good luck with the recipe. I know it will turn out great for you 👍😁

It was brittle though, but we were not going to waste it, just because it dident go bendy!!! My son loved it and so did I and my husband,,,,,, my other son wasn't going to try it,,, he's not in to those type of foods or snacks!!! All that was added to the ground beef was white pepper garlic power ginger power veg boulion paste paprika and a level tsp of powered chilli, that's it, it was so tasty, and had dried out ok, I want to try the beef strips next time!!!! Hey man, our recipe is for 6 lbs of jerky eye of round, One bottle soy sauce. One small bottle Worcestershire sauce, one bottle liquid smoke, then 3 tablespoons garlic powder, 3 tablespoons onion powder, 2 tablespoons Montreal steak spice, and add cayenne pepper for heat if you like it hot. Mix ingredients together and add the strips 1/4” into large ziplock freezer bags. Marinade for 48 hours, lay strips into dehydrator and dry for approximately 7 hours. Time can vary depending on thickness of meat.
This is a good start for a basic jerky, I added jalapeno powder and dusted with black pepper before putting in dehydrator to actually make it the world's best beef jerky. :-)
This is the same thing I use X3 as I make bigger batches. I like to add hot chili powder for a spicier jerky. It is fun to make changes to each batch for some different jerky each time. This is a great base to start from.
Your recipe is excellent! Thanks for sharing. Oh and it’s so simple even I could do it. I had to increase your marinade by three. My meat was 3 kilos, or six pounds. It was gone in four days. I’m making more today, and I’ll be hiding a stash for myself. 🤔🤷🏼♂️
waiting on my 1st dehydrator to show up today. Like he said This recipe always comes up on searches for Jerky and is gonna be my 1st try. Glad I saw the video, Can't wait! Thanks Van!
I’m 16 and deciding if I wish to start selling it locally today I’ll be making my first batch of 14 pounds of meat which will cut down to around 7 pounds of jerky hopefully this hell fire jerky comes out great
Colorado Martini awesome to have you around. We started with the oven back when I was growing up. Amazon has great dehydrators pretty cheap fair prices. The round ones work great. I am making Korean Beef Jerky today. It’s a sweet, smoky, nutty flavor. Amazing recipe. It will be my video for this Thursday 😁👍 I hope you have a great weekend
Looks great thanks. I'll try this tomorrow. I haven't let set marinated in a while. I've put things in a small vacuum chamber and just let it set for a few minutes. Sooo good
Vac chambers work great. Realy drives the flavours deep. I often vac bag batches and leave in the fridge a couple days. Aint no getting around the flavour then lol.
2 lbs beef, 2 cups soya sauce, 1 cup sweet and sour sauce, 2 t spoon garlic powder, 2 t spoon black pepper, 2 t spoon peprica powder, 2 t spoon dry rosemary, 1 cup honey, 1 cup Tabasco
Super good. Everyone loves it. And for liquid smoke family likes a 50/50 mix of mesquite and pecan. I am now playing around with the recipe and making it a little hotter for me with pepper flakes. With it being so cold outside/snow we can't use the smoker. This makes for a awesome inside jerky. Thank you
Excellent recipe! I tried this for the first time in my new dehydrator it was simply delicious! as for the salt I did not use 2tsp rather 1tsp & 1/2 and the final process of sticking it in the oven I chose not to, I actually like alittle grease on there and let them sit in the dehydrator in-plugged an additional 3hrs before taking them out. Best recipe ever!
You're right that ending in the oven isn't necessary all the meat needs is to remain at 160 during the drying. I add jalapeno powder to the mix and dust with black pepper while it's still wet on the trays.
@@3ormorecharacterstimes2 The extra step in hot oven is just for safety. That quick hot few mins just to be sure any bacteria that may be present Are killed. I often use my home made Biltong drying box that runs mostly airflow rather than heat, instead of my smaller store bought dehydrator. Just warm but dried over 5-6-7 or more days . Ive never had an issue, but if its made for others, I always run it through the oven after drying. Just to be safe. If you havnt tried traditional Biltong, check it out. One of those flavours that just hit right, and I cant keep up with my grandkids chomping through it lol.
@@colb9916 Why not simply tweak it in the dehydrator at 165? Or even, start out preheating the dehydrator at 165 and then put the jerky trays in like that for 20 - 30 mins and then reduce the temp to around 145? Or maybe, how about doing the jerky at 165 for 4 or 5 hrs., depending on the thickness of the strips?
@@KickButtMarketing My biltong box isnt temp adjustable. It only runs just warm with fans to create gentle airflow. Dried over 5-6 days rather than hours. Cuts of marinated meat start out about 1/2-1 in, by 3-4 in, by 6-7 inch. Basically the size of a NY strip or Sirloin steak. Being traditionally a South African style of preserving meat, it has Quite a bit different flavour, methods and end product to traditional jerky. (Worcestershire sauce, malt vinegar , 1/4 of your spice mix, to cure a couple hrs, then rub on the other 3/4 of spices. toasted, crushed coriander, black pepper, salt, a little chili if you like, then hang to dry ) Well worth a look if you've never tried it. If I'm making jerky, I use the dehydrator with much higher temps, less drying time & much smaller pieces. 65-75 celcius over 5-6 hrs.
Hey Van.....thanks very much for the video....I tried this out about 2 months ago and have been making it ever since. I absolutely love beef jerky and this is just a fantastic recipe. Thanks very much.....from Whistler B.C. Canada !!!
Tried this a few weeks ago without the liquid smoke as I couldn't find it in stores.. Simple to say it was great! I've got another batch sitting in the fridge with the liquid smoke this time and am equally excited to try it!
try your local butcher shop or ordering online, places like walmart or grocery stores usually won’t have it. a butcher shop or anywhere that sells BBQ/smoker stuff would probably have it though
I found a very similar recipe, if not the same, last time I made jerky in my dehydrator. On one tray, after I laid out the strips, I added some shakes of oregano and more pepper on top. At first I didn't know if I liked the taste but my kids did. I now add it to all oregano of my batches.
Hey van just got done making this I just tried a piece from the dehydrator and was good I didn’t have everything in the video so for liquid smoke I used maple bacon steak seasoning and 4 tbs of brown sugar tastes almost like a store bought teriyaki type jerky but has a little hint of regular store bought jerky from butchers from grande prairie Alberta Canada
Throw in some dry mustard and red pepper flake and you you have my recipe I marinate my deer backstraps and grilled chicken breast the same way. Thanks for the video!
Awesome thanks. I like to add dry mustard sometimes after the meat is laid on the racks before drying. That’s what I love about the small batch. You can change it up anytime you want. Have a good one and thanks for taking the time to comment.
I recommend using a gallon ziplock bag for marinading meat. You don’t have to wash an extra bowl and you can mix the meat in the bag without having to get your hands messy just add the marinade to the bag first and shake it. This will mix the marinade. Then add half of the meat and shake the bag again. Add the rest of the meat and shake. This will evenly coat the meat and prevent the meat from sticking together. After a good shake then you just remove the extra air in the bag and place it in the fridge. After a couple of hours you can shake the bag or flip it. This allows you to use all of the marinade rather than leaving a lot of it in the cup he that he used to mix the marinade.
Hey Van, this is Aaron from down under (Australia), thanks for sharing your recipe for the best beef jerky. I looked up the best beef jerky recipe for a dehydrator and your video came up. Seeing you enjoying your beef jerky at the end of the video made me want to make it more 😄😆😄, I Made up your recipe minus the liquid smoke and the meat tenderiser. I’m hoping that it wont affect the recipe too much and I have only just put it in the marinade to leave until I get home from work. I’m looking forward to putting it into the dehydrator to get the finished product. Thanks again for sharing and I’m hoping that leaving out those too ingredients wont affect it too much.
Hello Aaron. Leaving those two out shouldn’t affect it too much. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Thank you for leaving a comment. I look forward to talking to you more. I also hope you have a great week ahead. Have a good one and let me know how the jerky turns out. 👍😁
@@VansWorld that beef jerky turned out to be a real treat. I made one adjustment to your recipe with the praprika, I put in half the recommended amount because as Australians we don’t like things as hot as the Americans. It was all finished yesterday morning, I broke it up into small sizes and took a sample pack with me to work. I shared it with a chef friend of mine and she liked it. She even gave me one of the missing ingredients for next time I made it. Van, I started munching on the jerky and I couldn’t stop. I kept eating that beef jerky delight all day. When I ran out I went to my car and grabbed the rest of it and broke it all up into bit sized pieces and continued eating it. I was even eating it still while I was making dinner last night. Van I want to thank you for a truly enjoyable day yesterday eating the formula that you shared was a delight. I’m looking forward to making another batch and adding in the smoky stuff. If I have time I might drop into the stor and see if I can get the meat tenderiser stuff as well. Van thank you for sharing, the beef jerky was truly a delight. Just talking about it is making me want to have some more! 👍😄👍
You sound like me lol. When I take it to work, I can’t stop eating it. It’s a fun thing to make and making small batches allows you to try more flavors and recipes. I’ve got a Jerk Jerky that is off the chain good. Probably the best I’ve ever made. There is a video of the recipe on my channel. Thanks for letting me know how it turned out for ya. Have a great week brother 👍😁
@@VansWorld hey Van, I gave a sample to the chef at work and she gave me some powered double smoke flavour to put in my next batch of beef jerky. I’m not sure exactly how much powered to use, I’m thinking maybe a teaspoon? What do you think would be best?
I'm glad I found your channel! I watched several beef videos. I found this recipe the best! My question would be, what do you usually eat with it? I'd like to ask you for some ideas. Thanks
Always a solid go-to recipe for friends that don’t know what they like. Personally I double the liquid smoke, take out the brown sugar and add in 2 tbsps of honey. I’m just jealous you have a butcher to slice it thin. I’m good with my knife, but a little inconsistent after a few brews
"but a little inconsistent after a few brews" LOL! I was thinking the same thing- substitute honey for the sugar. Or alternatively, pure maple syrup. I think I'm going to give that a try next run.
Ive been told that about the root beer too and dr pepper also. Hey have you looked at jerky subscriptions? I just subscribed to one that sends different jerky from all over the USA to try. Click this link to check it out. bit.ly/3p8XCZk Thank You for your comment and for watching
I made some last night but accidentally grab a tsp instead of a tbsp so I only got 2 tsp of liquid smoke, worcestershire, and brown sugar but it's still some of the best jerky I've had. Now I used Milanesa cut and only let the meat marinate for 30 minutes but oh my it's delicious
after all the jerky influence, I've decided to get 2 eye of round and 2 rump roast, anywhere to 8 lbs after the fat is taken away. Also bought Hickory season and Teriyaki season and cure. About to bring out the Meat slicer. Makes it a lot easier to make your slices. I'm going to marinade the meat for over night so the flavor will penetrate into the meats. I've already have 2 dehydrators ready to go. I will fill the two dehydrators and dehydrate for four hours with half of the meats and then dehydrate the rest after that. Can't wait to eat the jerky faster than it takes to make it. LOL
It’s what the usda recommends to kill any pathogens. In my opinion, it’s not really needed when Prague powder #1 or some other kind of cure is being used in the marinade.
This is a really nice approach, and I liked your recipe! Might talk about best cuts of beef, what thickness.. :) I'm trying to replicate this Jerky found at Costco, it was a pack with two bags, Red and black label, Taiwanese style beef jerky.. and get this.. it was made with Strawberry jam. It was a sweet very moist jerky, but it wasnt "wet", but it was slightly sticky. I thought I hated it at first.. but.. I couldnt set it down. The brand is called hty-sweet-beef-jerky. I found the ingredients on their site, Beef, Sugar, Strawberry Jam (sugar, strawberry puree, corn syrup, pectin, citric Acid), Water, Gluten-Free Soy Sauce (water, soybeans, salt, sugar), Spices, Vegetable Oil, Celery Powder (cultured celery powder, sea salt), Salt.
Sounds interesting. I’ll look it up. As for cut of meat, I like to use eye of round. But for being easy, I like to get the stir fry meat from Walmart. It costs more but the thin slices will make jerky in 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

I’ve got more jerky recipe videos. The newest video smoky mesquite is amazing
@@VansWorld Nice! Got a new hydrator on the way haha
heard the accent and instantly knew it was gonna be good ❤😂 amazing recipe!!! thank you
My pleasure 😊
I do the oven part first, something I picked up long ago. Heat the meat to 140, doesn’t take long, supposed to kill bacteria. Then into the dehydrator. I love trying different recipes too. And if I can’t get round, I use London broil, a little more $ but nice and lean.
I’ll be trying this one next.
Awesome. London broil is definitely a great cut for jerky. 👍😁
I know it will turn out great for you 👍😁
@@VansWorld the sliced banana strawberry kiwi lychee and apple were beautiful after 8 to 10 hours, the strawberries remind me of the special k cerial , with dehydrated strawberries in it, can you show how you make billtong in one of your videos, subbed and liked ...If poss, thanks take care be safe👍🌹🌟🏵️🌷🍎🍍
I’ve never made Biltong. I’d definitely like to try one day.
@@VansWorld I never even knew what biltong was, untill a few years ago when my son took us to a shop in Cork city, all Australian foods and one was biltong we tryed it after a little while of going back home,, similar to jerky but not the same taste,, I did however try to make a tester batch a small batch of ground beef jerky,, yes it had a good kick to it!!!!! Anyway take care 🍎🍇🍍🍓🍒🍆🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🍐🍌🍋🍈🍏
Jerky is pretty fun to make. 👍😁 keep experimenting with different flavors.
I am doing this very recipe right now and have had amazing success
Thanks for the recipe. 😁👍
This is a good start for a basic jerky, I added jalapeno powder and dusted with black pepper before putting in dehydrator to actually make it the world's best beef jerky. :-)
Sounds amazing 😁👍
My dehydrator arrived today and boy oh boy am i keen to get this jerky recipe rocking!!!
Awesome. Enjoy the process. 👍😁
@@VansWorld so keen!!! Thanks for the inspiration my man.
Be careful sharing your jerky. People will have you making it and selling it to them haha 😂 that always happens
@@VansWorld aha i got the dehydrator so i could make more because the addicts just want more all the time!
@@VansWorld i want to try to do some Kangaroo Jerky, would love for you to be able to get some and try doing that as a taste test.
I use a recipe from all reciepes, called him are beef jerkey, I can't make enough for my customers, I add hot peppers to mine for my customers
Sounds great. Man I’ll tell ya. You can really make bank doing jerky. I hope you build an empire where your at. 👍😁
This is the same thing I use X3 as I make bigger batches. I like to add hot chili powder for a spicier jerky. It is fun to make changes to each batch for some different jerky each time. This is a great base to start from.
True. It is fun to try new things. New flavors and such. Thank you for watching and for commenting 👍😁
How much chili powder do you add?
Your recipe is excellent! Thanks for sharing. Oh and it’s so simple even I could do it. I had to increase your marinade by three. My meat was 3 kilos, or six pounds. It was gone in four days. I’m making more today, and I’ll be hiding a stash for myself. 🤔🤷🏼♂️
That is a great recipe. Glad you liked it.
This jerky turned out great. I highly recommend this recipe. This guy knows some stuff about jerky
Thanks buddy.
waiting on my 1st dehydrator to show up today. Like he said This recipe always comes up on searches for Jerky and is gonna be my 1st try. Glad I saw the video, Can't wait! Thanks Van!
My pleasure
Quick, to the point, easy to follow, perfect video. Thanks!
I appreciate your feedback. 😁👍
Tried this with a dehydrator I got from my fiance for my birthday. Made 3 batches so far within 2 weeks. Great recipe and great video.
Awesome. Thank you for the feedback 👍😁
I’m 16 and deciding if I wish to start selling it locally today I’ll be making my first batch of 14 pounds of meat which will cut down to around 7 pounds of jerky hopefully this hell fire jerky comes out great
I’m sure it will be amazing. Good luck with your venture. If you find a great price on meat, you can pretty much double your investment. 👍😁
This recipe is solid! Made my first steak style jerky with it and hot dang did I and all my coworkers love it! Making another batch right now!
😂. Only trouble with a great recipe. Cant keep up with demand.
😂😂😂
I've never seen somebody use a shaker bottle for cooking ingredients. Now I know what to do with my old bottles I love it 😂
😁👍
Use a glass jar with a lid. I save all my empty condiment or pasta sauce jars.
I have not made jerky in years. I make it the old fashion way, in the oven. I will have to try this. I am so glad we found your channel. It rocks.
Sooo good
Awesome! Glad you liked the recipe 😁👍
Vac chambers work great. Realy drives the flavours deep.
I often vac bag batches and leave in the fridge a couple days.
Aint no getting around the flavour then lol.
Thanks!
Hey Matthew, no problem bro. Thank you for the super thanks 👍😀
2 lbs beef, 2 cups soya sauce, 1 cup sweet and sour sauce, 2 t spoon garlic powder, 2 t spoon black pepper, 2 t spoon peprica powder, 2 t spoon dry rosemary, 1 cup honey, 1 cup Tabasco
It's funny that you can in the emotion of how little marinade was in the bottle displayed in Van's hands
😁
Thank you
Your welcome. Glad you like the recipe.
Excellent recipe!
I tried this for the first time in my new dehydrator it was simply delicious!
as for the salt I did not use 2tsp rather 1tsp & 1/2 and the final process of sticking it in the oven I chose not to,
I actually like alittle grease on there and let them sit in the dehydrator in-plugged an additional 3hrs before taking them out.
I am going to make this. I am a vegetarian but my Mister and my critters will enjoy it.
Hey Van.....thanks very much for the video....I tried this out about 2 months ago and have been making it ever since. I absolutely love beef jerky and this is just a fantastic recipe. Thanks very much.....from Whistler B.C. Canada !!!
Awesome. Yeah this is a great traditional flavor for jerky. One of my favorite too.
This is my favorite jerky recipe go to for 3 years now. Thanks
Thank van's world I'll be using this recipe in October
Awesome 😁👍
Tried this a few weeks ago without the liquid smoke as I couldn't find it in stores.. Simple to say it was great! I've got another batch sitting in the fridge with the liquid smoke this time and am equally excited to try it!
I bet it will be awesome. 👍😁 thank you for the comment and as always thank you for watching
@@VansWorld Yo, why'd you remove the recipe from the description?!
try your local butcher shop or ordering online, places like walmart or grocery stores usually won’t have it. a butcher shop or anywhere that sells BBQ/smoker stuff would probably have it though
I found a very similar recipe, if not the same, last time I made jerky in my dehydrator. On one tray, after I laid out the strips, I added some shakes of oregano and more pepper on top. At first I didn't know if I liked the taste but my kids did. I now add it to all oregano of my batches.
I’ve got to try that. Sounds interesting
Just made this but added maple syrup syrup because I didn’t have brown sugar keen to try 👍🏼
Syrup is a great addition to the recipe. Try molasses some time. It adds a great flavor to the jerky and it will make the jerky tender too.
Beef Jerky was a Success!! I just tried it and I am in love!
Awesome. 👍😁 #success
Makes perfect sense man beef jerky is already salty you dont want too much there! On my way to jerky perfection!
Just ordered my dehydrator an hour ago. Very much looking forward to trying this, as this style of driied meet isn't common here in Norway.
I bet you will enjoy it a lot 👍😁
Sounds like a simple good recipe, will be trying this tomorrow :)
😁👍
Ok hear me out, follow this exact recipe but use cubed stew meat instead. About 1.5 pounds of it. They come out like tender jerky nuggets!!! So good!!
Sounds great! I’m gonna have to try that. Thanks for the tip.
I've made this several times now. It's very good!
Glad you like it!
Just by the accent alone I know I can trust you on jerky. Bout to make some deer jerky!
😂😁👍 thanks
No recipe listed below as stated. Thanks for the video. Will be trying it today.
Taste is No1.. By far better than the jerky in the shop.
Definitely trying this. I’m bout to buy a dehydrator and start making some homemade jerky. Definitely gonna try this recipe
Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I really like the nesco FD80 dehydrator. It does a great job and it is super quite. Plus it’s made in the USA
Just finally got myself a food dehydrator so I'm definitely gonna be trying this recipe out this weekend
Awesome. Let me know how it turns out for ya. 👍😁
Awesome. I bet that was delicious the way you made it.
@@VansWorld it was thanks for video
Yea this beef jerky is the best! I have made it many times and sticking to Doc's exact recipe always turns out the best.
👍😁 awesome feedback. Thanks you
Thanks for the video I’m getting a dehydrator today and trying your way thanks
I’m getting a new one tomorrow also. 😁👍
I’m making this on Monday. Totally agree about the marinade. It should sit for a while too before even using it. I’ll let you know how it works!
Tried it just like you said.....best jerky ever😁 just like you said .Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Just Like Doc"s Survival Food !!
👍😁
I use vh teriyaki stir fry sauce, peppercorn, soya sauce, salt and sugar. 24hr marinade. Best recipe I've tried.
Sounds great
I recommend using a gallon ziplock bag for marinading meat.
I’ll be goin to the store tomorrow to try this out thanks a bunch
Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Have a good one. 😁👍
Just starting out.
Whats purpose of 10 min at 275 in oven? Thanks.
I'm glad I found your channel! I watched several beef videos. I found this recipe the best! My question would be, what do you usually eat with it? I'd like to ask you for some ideas. Thanks
Just made jerky this morning following this recipe. A bit salty in my opinion but otherwise it's a bang on recipe. I'll be using it again soon!
Awesome. Try low sodium soy sauce to have less salty flavor.
What do you recommend for long term storage? Jar with oxygen eliminator? Vacuum sealing?
Vacuum sealing.
Great deal. How about using some jalapeno peppers and bbq sauce? One feller says to marinate it in A & W rootbeer.
Ive been told that about the root beer too and dr pepper also.
Hey have you looked at jerky subscriptions? I just subscribed to one that sends different jerky from all over the USA to try. Click this link to check it out. bit.ly/3p8XCZk
Thank You for your comment and for watching
Where did you get those little measuring cups
At Walmart.
.it IS the best. Been making Docs 5 years now
Try garlic powder onion powder and peper and try sweet hoising sauce and a little black bean sauce and some chilly flakes
Dang that sounds good. I’ll have to try that.
I really like the pre cut meats at like you used for making small batches of jerky. Thanks for letting me know how it turned out for ya. 😁👍
after all the jerky influence, I've decided to get 2 eye of round and 2 rump roast, anywhere to 8 lbs after the fat is taken away. LOL
That’s the way we make it too. It gets ate as we are making it. Lol
Great video good camera angle for showing whats going on. thanks man!!
👍😁
Thats how its done!!!!!!!!!! I see so much packet beef jerky thats like rubber. Beef jerky should be dried out and firm. Thanks for showing.
No Problem. Thank You for the awesome comment. 😀👍
Newbie here; why do you put in oven after dehydrating? Thx!
It’s what the usda recommends to kill any pathogens. In my opinion, it’s not really needed when Prague powder #1 or some other kind of cure is being used in the marinade.
Ridiculous jerky makers prices are putting themselves out of business and I'm lovin' it. Homemade stuff rocks.
I agree. Small batches are the best. Trying a multitude of different flavors and recipes.
Basicly what you made was teryaki sauce. I marinade mine in teryaki and sprinkle a little seasoning on before I put it in the dehydrator.
What a wonderful jerky!
I will use your video as a reference for my jerky making.
Thank you! 😁👍
I’m gonna try making some. Just ordered the celery power from Amazon. Thanks letting me know about it.
That's a great recipe. I use some crushed pepper--not much--to give the jerky a little zip.
Me too. Crushed red pepper really peps it up a bit. 😁👍
Tried this and was amazed how simple and how great tasting
Guess it is a a must to make !
Your recipe is in the dehydrator! I'll let your know tomorrow!!!
Bubba, what temperature and for how long in the dehydrator???
Stir fry beef only takes 2 to 3 hours to dehydrate. I set my dehydrator at 165 degrees.
