We all know how China works. Jackson for sure is just trying to protect his family and of course himself too. As a fan we should not expect too much from them (in a bad way) as they are humans too and have to make such hard decisions.
1st of all more than 30 Chinese stars including EXO’s Lay Zhang and Wang Yibo have cut ties with famous brands such as Adidas, H&M and Nike over the Xinjiang cotton controversy. K-pop girl group f(x)’s Victoria also cut ties with H&M. 2nd thing 2nd china is a communist country, meaning? if you're Chinese and you don't do as your country orders, you're simply done for. All these artists cut ties with such famous brands and they ALL declared that through weibo with the same message, copy and paste (they just edited their name nd the brand ). They received orders from their country where they're born and raised and where their families live as well, so you tell me if this has anything to do with THEIR OWN beliefs or humanity. NO cuz they simply did as they were told in order to survive. Also the cotton thingy is a political issue between the US and china, we shouldn't be that innocent and actually believe that these brands really care about the uyghurs, THEY DON'T. In fact china is really advanced and for a country that exports 20% of cotton to the world, torturing the Uyghurs thru forcing them to work on cotton simply doesn't make sense. They use huge machines for that as they care about money and time. The Uyghurs are treated like sh*t and are tortured every single day, their lives are hell YES and we all as humans should stand for them and do something about it. BUT CHINESE ARTISTS don't have a saying in this matter and them cutting ties with these brands doesn't mean their support for slavery and torture. If they go against china's orders they'll simply disappear and we probably won't hear of them again. and BTW JACKSON's family was almost killed once as they attempted to burn his parent's house in Hong Kong. Last thing last if you know the chinese billionaire JACK MA alibaba founder went missing for three months after he spoke out against China's financial system and regulations at a Shanghai business forum on Oct. 24. I'M MUSLIM BTW.
