Zeus existing has changed the game for Xyz monsters so much. Zoodiac Boarbow is a godly card now, because it pretty much guarantees you're going to be able to go into a Zeus with 4+ materials, regardless of how many monsters your opponent has, and Zeus' effect not even being once per chain is still crazy to me.
Yeah, even in Trains, if Liebe didnt finish off but still have 1 material (which 99% is the case), overlay it into Zeus! At least 1 disruption guaranteed for next turn
Zeus has to be one of the worst designed cards ever printed, starting with the fact that it's effect isn't even once per turn AND is a quick effect. It's up there with Baronne with how over tuned they are and it deserves to be banned forever just out of shame that they thought doing this shit was somehow a good idea.
@AmazonessKing01 Zeus wipes EVERYTHING with absolutely 0 protection and can ONLY be made in the MP2. I don't see what's so broken about it unless you'd simultaneously argue Evenly Matched is broken. It's the monster equivalent to Evenly Matched, and at the end of the day, most people would prefer NOT to use Zeus if they have an established board unless their board has a shit ton of GY effects.

You didn't summon downerd over dante only to make it a beater. You also did it because it played around bounce effects like Pleiades so that u still got a Dante to graveyard and got his eff. That way he was still effectively plus-ing you and giving u a strong target for Cir.
I find it funny that Cat Shark used to be considered one of the worst, if not the worst, XYZ monster, but because of Zeus it is considered to be one of the best.
yugioh zexal was the last anime I watched before getting into the game in 2023, I tried going after xyz plays when I started and somehow I've always associated zeus with zexal-era cards
Similarly, if you run Rank 10s, Run Dreadnought Dreadnoid and ram your opponent"s lowest ATK monster, activate it's effect to rank up into a Gustav, then overlay into Zeus. For added oomph, attach a heavy forward or even an Infinitrack Goliath.
I love how every time I hear Zeus' name I think 'oh yeah one of the poster boys for how they've just stopped giving a fuck about balance', and any time I hear about an XYZ monster coming back into a spotlight I think 'It's just a Zeus material isn't it'.
Downered magician was part of a dark magician deck i wanted to use (however magi magi not being outside japan so it only worked in devpro) hindered the move i wanted to do. XYZ a level 2/3 upgrade to downered, and use the rank upncard that does 2 ranks into magi, then place the rank 7 dark mag xyz on top of herthen with his ridiculous number of accumulated materials run wild with his summoning effect. It wasn't a "good" deck but when it worked it was entertaining.
