Haley came in 3rd place on American Idol during the 10th season of that show. Listen to anything of hers with Post Modern Jukebox!!!! Plus her original “Free” from her album Listen Up! The lyrics on that one could be very meaningful under particular circumstances!!!

My favorite PMJ with Haley are: Black Hole Sun, Seven Nation Army, Love Fool and also Mad World which is a duet with Puddles Pity Party (a sad clown). Also, she is also an a great, great video along with Morgan James and Ariana Savalas (actor Tellay Savalas daughter) on All About That Bass.

Hi Sargent, What a great choice to react to Haley Reinhart! Haley is in my top three favorite female vocalists which also include Angelina Jordan and Eva Cassidy. This particular performance by Haley Reinhart is epic and maybe one of the best she's ever done! It is certainly one of the best Creep performances.
I'm not sure If you have seen Eva before. Eva Cassidy was a jazz, blues, and folk singer in the 1980s and '90s. Tragically, she passed away in 1996 from cancer at the age of only 33. She was somewhat unknown at the time of her death but following her death became legendary and sold over 20 million albums! Her UA-cam page has many performances but only a limited number of video. 10 months before her death, They recorded about a dozen songs in black and white at the Blues Alley lounge in her home area. All those videos are on her page. Your first reaction should be to Over the Rainbow which is considered by many to be the finest version ever recorded of that song! It brings many to tears as it is melancholy and haunting with an angelic voice. Have tissues ready!

Your absolutely right about Ms. Cassidy Ron. For me is the G.O.A.T. with Ms. Reinhart a very very close second. Check them both singing the song Chain of fools and see how close their voices truly are, it's eerie.

great reaction sarge. haley reinhart is one the greatest, most unique vocalist of our time. postmodern jukebox (or pmj) takes current popular songs and completely re-imagines them vintage (1920s to 1960s) in the music itself and style of the performances that actually take you back in time. they have a variety of good vocals but haley especially with postmodern jukebox is incredible. all the other haley/pmj ones are great also: "all about the bass", "habits", "black hole sun", "mad world", "seven nations army", "oops i did it again", "lovefool" and the very recent "don't speak".
i think what is so phenomenal about haley is not just her amazing silk to sandpaper voice but also her character and soul that she puts into the performances. even when she uses very little of her unique vocal acrobatics, her pure raw soft voice is amazing like in the intro of "creep". you see this even more in her solo platinum cover of "can't help falling in love" for the extra gum commercial which is truly stunning and frequently described as what love sounds like here: (ua-cam.com/video/_uNpEbt7w_o/v-deo.html )

Hailey Reinhart has the incredible ability to not only sing any style perfectly but to personify the style she is singing and become the new definition for that style. My preference is for the style of Morgan James but none could deny that Hailey is the absolute mistress of anything she tries.

she's playing with her voice on purpose, they're all different jazz techniques and she's trained in jazz. FYI all of PMJ's videos are live 1 takes, usually best the take out of a few tries with no studio "Magic" etc. In fact Haley actually did it on a day she was sick and on the 1st take.

This is pretty old and I was very new to reacting but here again it’s a reaction channel, by YT standards I have to stop and talk…and I did. I let her sing the entire song…not much of a reaction otherwise. Try my recent reaction with Morgan, Hailey and Arianna…hopefully you’ll enjoy that more
