This is a nice video, I like your demonstration of a traditional fire starting method. This is the first time I have seen a demonstration of Birch Skis and tradional boots. Your trip was also made more interesting with the discovery of the Sami Pit House. Here in British Columbia are many remains of Kukuli (Aboriginal P eoples) Pit Houses. The weather and ecology have much in common with the environment close to where I live.

This is a great video, thank you for it. What kind of wood is your kuksa made of? (The drinking bowl, not sure what you might call it).

I am sorry that I have not lately been able to engage with viewer comments on this channel due to a few other interesting projects which have been keeping me busy. Here is a short answer regarding the kuksas I have made my own kuksas out of birch burl. You can buy some nice modeled kuksas from the Varusteleka store. www.varusteleka.com/en/bestsearch/kuksa?q=kuksa The Brisa company also sells kuksas in addition to knife making supplies brisa.fi/catalogsearch/result/?q=kuksa
