This video was very different from what I usually make, in addition to the deadline i set myself of getting it done before necromancy made it quite a stressful project.
I'm happy I'm past this one and looking forward to my plans I have after necromancy!
that being said, I will not be setting deadlines like this again

I love that video and how you worked through the history of the game. It was both short and concise without missing out on the most most important parts.
I also love how you took your hat off! Nice touch! Amazing work as usual ❤

Nice to get the history on RS. I was around for a lot of it but don't remember it well as I was a young kid. I know I started playing in classic and was like WTF when I went to log in and RS2 had launched. My current account was created in 2005, but I did not know that I was already getting members somehow in 2006-2007, as I do remember the release of farming and construction. I believe I asked my parents to pay for it and got a few months in, then starting 2007 I would have an in-game friend who would pay mems for me in exchange for 1M GP a month. He quit periodically and I remember asking other people for the same deal and actually getting my account cleaned out. After that I started buying pre-paid credit cards from the quickie to buy RS mems and eventually stuff for other games when I regularly quit RS. Seeing the dates takes me through memory lane.

Thank you so much for this, I left runescape before the max capes existed then came back when archaeology released, I missed everything in between and had no clue how it all happened, with this video now I know when each thing happened and how it happened. Feel like a huge chunk of rs history that was missing is now complete.

As someone who has been playing since 2001 and has been through every single iteration of the game, all the dramas, all the highs, all the ups, this was a nice trip down memory lane, I don't clinge on nostalgia and have been evolving with the game always but this was good to revisit, I remember the day we got rs2, I used to live in Crandor skeletons outside of Elvarg or the moss giants on the same island and the update caught me there and woaaah, what a change it was.

Wow! This video is incredible, it's amazing! Can't begin to estimate how long it took to make the video, but your editing is outstanding and I loved the entire video. i joined RS in 2012, so had missed the earlier days but it was good to see the progression from its early days to when I joined. You've done an incredible job with this video and will rewatch it many times more. New subscriber, well done! 😊

I honestly forgot what it was like to have Runescapes graphical updates be framed as positive in a video like this, they're usually from an OSRS perspective so it was really cool to have the transition to RS3 be met with such a triumphant soundtrack :D I love this game and I love this channel. I made a joke about keeping you humble at the wildy tree event a few days ago when a lot of people were hyping you up, I did end up checking out your channel and honestly you should be really proud of the content you're making.

@@IronAraxxor to be honest this format is very palatable especially for the game lore folks like myself. And this couldn’t have come out at a better time. Considering we are about to get a ton of new players coming in to a game that’s been around for 22 years. It’s important for them to know where it all started. Helps build the excitement for growth. So thank you for bringing this awesome content to our community.

Slaying as a skill still doesn't make sense to me conceptually.
Why does a rock slug require Lv20 slayer but a dragon has no requirements? You need a certain slaying skill level to know how to harm certain monsters, but it's the same way as everything else: hit it until it dies.
