Unfortunately the vulgar tradition of showing excessive speed has destroyed the essence of tabla that comes from clarity of bols. This is why Tabla could survive as a solo instrument. I totally second your wonderful analysis. It is one of most favourite solos because of the same reasons.
as far as i know ustad afaq hussin khan was the best tabla player of his time .he was the best player of relas and raws .like his father ustad wajid hussin kha.this video is the perfect example .. thanks for updating this wonderful solo.
