It is so immensely based to edit out certain parts of the video to force people to watch the original, like the reaction itself is substantial enough to warrant it being "transformitive" but then you go even further.
As someone who recently was updated on that whole thing, yea, he does do a pretty good job. I don’t like his twitchbrain moments where he just accepts chats statements as the truth without double checking things sometimes, but thats a seperate personal issue I have with him.
It really is unfathomably based and William Osman absolutely deserves it
@@Slurptacular64 I think every Twitch streamer does that to a certain extent, it saves times and rarely is serious. If it was something serious they'd probably do more research on their own

It’s important to note that, despite how much of a goofball he may seem, William has actually gone to school for this stuff and absolutely knows what he’s doing. Also, as awesome as his engineering projects are, that video where he goes after the commenter is probably the best video on his channel.
William Osman is so good. It just sucks that engineering channels aren't good for the UA-cam algorithm or he'd be way more popular.
@UCBJW1qOnmTA-pvzGavUj_Lw I guess they do get a lot of views, but they have the same problem animation and music channels have in that 'regular content' is only possible over a long time scale, e.g. Mark Rober's monthly schedule, and while they may crush it with the watch time they do post, many many hours go into every second of the final video. Unlike animation or music, posting the process is normal, but it's still disincentivised and you normally see channels like Michael reeves joke about how viewer retention drops immediately when they get technical, people just want to see the crazy robot.
You and me probably get recommended these channels because they often collab and stuff, causing an overlap in viewership and UA-cam knows we want to see these similar channels, but what does it take to find the first of these channels at all?

@@Mirtual they are saying on the basis that retention rate drops if it gets too technical and also because the videos take so long they struggle to have consistent upload schedules which the algorithm also doesn’t favour
and the work needed to put out each video + every video needs to be novel, quirky, educational but not boring, im sure he has scrapped a few video ideas too... youtube algorithm seems to favor those with high post frequency to some extent, which made it harder for engineering channels
@@Mirtual the big channels are big despite the algorithm, not because of it. Mark has literally partnered with Mr beast twice, he is the single biggest window from non-engineering to engineering channels.
To look at it another way, say you are interested in gaming, you may get recommended channels with ~100k subs, sometimes less, but the only other channels I see that happen with are single meme videos that just happened to go viral, so there no reason to sub and people are just there for that one video. In the UA-cam maker secret Santa thing, there was like 12 channels or something all fairly large and engineering focused, and despite being interested in engineering, I'd only ever even SEEN 3 of them. Established creators that I'm interested in seeing, and they hadn't showed up just because the algorithm didn't want to show me it.
For another extreme engineering channel may I suggest Colinfurze. He's built a large bunker underneath his house, a homemade hoverbike and strapped jet engines to both a bike and a go-kart (amongst a lot of other things as well)
What I love about his bunker is that it's not some prepper bs, it's like 2 ft below his house, so he just made an incredibly cool basement (that may be used as a bunker in some situations)

Nobody took it too far, he just got too upset about Internet comment that he could easily ignore. He had someone sign a contract under false pretenses which is extremely illegal and fucked up. It’s actually psychopathic to get so mad over a UA-cam comment that you stalked someone’s LinkedIn and message them with a fake job opportunity to get some type of petty revenge.

Finding William's channel all these years ago is the equivalent of finding a gold mine that just keeps on giving.
I started watching when he was mainly building stuff out of wood, with Cameraman John filming everything, and while I do miss the vibes of his old videos, sometimes, all his videos are just such a joy to watch. It's such a good channel.

The official videos have all been taken down unfortunately but there is re-uploads everywhere. As for him watching it, there is almost no chance as vomiting on stream is super against TOS as far as I'm aware.

Massive props to the editing. Notice the black screens and thought something was off, and it was, but I love it. Great editing to get people to actually go watch these people to see it all. I watch Osman so I already know what degeneracy happens behind those black screens anyways.

Ok Stanz, Actually I have a 6Head idea for you. Make a shorts channel called "StanzButReplying" where you upload like 3 times a day of just 1 minute reactions to one of the youtube comments on the Stanz channel video from the day before. Benefit 1. Shorts would take like 10 minutes to make all 3. Benefit 2. heavily encourages people to comment on your Videos, Hello ALGORITHM improvement. Benefit 3. At the Moment shorts get dummy fed to people by the algorithm who end up checking out your channel. Con 1. Reading youtube comments can be super annoying.
