Kristen Stewart is underrated. This film is proof. Too many have judged her based only on Twilight. This and many other unheard of, overlooked independent films clearly display her ability.
Definitely! I think she is FINALLY getting the respect that she deserves! Her last few performances...... the last one is always better than the one before that. :-)
Personally, I think she deserved an Oscar nomination for this role. She gets a lot of crap for Twilight but people don't watch her other movies like this and Speak where she shows tremendous acting abilities
Davethreshold I have seen Camp X-Ray. I've also seen Still Alice. I'm enamored with her too, like you. I don't understand why people judge her so much based on her interviews and stuff, cause she's just human. She gets nervous like all of us do. It pisses me off to no end! Nice to find someone who isn't just focused on judging her :)
+Twihard_Robsten Oh, I forgot to reply to this. ITA!! This was incredible. Her and her director showed this to a group of Ataxics to make sure that they were not offended. This was before that she was famous, and they thought that she was the Real deal! It doesn't get better than that for a review.

She's terrific. The scene near the very end of the film was even better than this, to me... when she used the wall to support herself while making her way down that loong hallway, painfully slowly. It seemed like they just held the camera on her forever and she really had to commit.. and her movements looked totally authentic the entire time.
I also never realized she was a method actor until recently. May be the reason she seems so "stilted" in the Twilight films. No "actual" person to study from, only a description of what she is supposed to be like. My daughter caught the tail end of "Runaways" and was really impressed as well. {o:
I was actually looking at her IMdb page when I decided to come to YT and see what I could find! (= Think I will be renting this for the weekend. And maybe "The Runaways" as well. Idk..is it out on DVD yet? Lol. Thanks to you, great video! {o:

I have a scene from Twilight (even though that's why many people don't like her but I think she was great in that bite scene), Panic Room (the seizure) and Cake Eaters (when she falls down at home)
Davethreshold-have watched "Speak", and "The Runaways"so far. KStew was awesome as Joan Jett! The mannerisms, way she played her guitar (particularly at the end during the scene where she's coming up w/ "I love rock 'n roll". I remember seeing JJ and the BH's live in the 80's, she opened for a band called "Loverboy" (sry, don't know how old u are. Lol) Fantastic show!! Getting to watch "Cake Eaters" shortly. Having fun watching these! {o:

WOW! I have never seen KS in anything besides Twilight, and though Bella is written the way she acts it comes off as poor acting. THIS is amazing! I never realized how talented she really is. Will have to rent a bunch of these! Have been wanting to see "The Runaways" anyway, heard she nailed JJ. Awesome job KStew! {o:
