Can’t believe Jeff isn’t going to series 4 lol I have Jeff so I’m not personally effected but it’s gotta be fucking frustrating for players who still don’t have Jeff and he’s still 6k tokens more than a year after his release. Yet Hercules is going to Series 4 after a few months of being released lol that’s wild to me
yeah who needs big bads when we have big jeff right? doubt he ever leaves S5 bc hes so useful which is sad

I was waiting for him to series drop back in June. After the new change, it’s just better to buy him now than waiting. At this moment, Jeff is a mini big bad just like knull and Darkhawk.
Just a sales tactic. Jeff is going to be relevant for a while and is a good pull to make people spend their keys. They needed to move those cards that have little to no relevance to pool 3 because they do not intice people to use keys for them since they have been skip cards since release. The only one i was questioning was gladiator but honestly he has become a bit dangerous to use in the current meta and having him at a four makes him a bit accessible for a token pickup for those who really want him.
Putting Selene into series 4 right after it's in a spotlight cache is another classic 2nd dinner move. How could they have known? Lol.
Decent card drops, but you are right in thinking about the s3 bloat and cards like Howard, Martyr, and Hercules no one 'wants' to get those cards. Honestly, someone said long ago that Loki as well as some other integral cards that define an archtype should honestly just be included into S2 and outright given on the tutorial track with changes to the tutorial in regards to say Howard and his 'ongoing' effect.
But indeed, everyone needs a Martyr in their collection.
It feels like selene and herc is a little soon over some other units. Iron lad should be on the list. And mmm should be on series 3

As someone who got Howard for a key, I’m just happy nobody will ever have to experience that ever again.
So true. New players need agency with ability to use 1000 tokens for cards they actually want. The bloat will be real. They keep dropping the worst cards to go S3.
Also need to increase tokens from duplicate spotlights pulls. 1000 is not enough if everything is s5.
As well as cut the gold ticket from collector reserves.
Put some credits or gold. It just feels bad to open them.
In game economy is bad right now.
I didn’t know about the 4th spotlight being weighted toward S4. I’ve only gotten 2 cards from that, Kang and Hercules.

This series drop is abysmal imo.
The series 4 to series 3 drops are just terrible. Martyr, Howard, and Echo are never worth playing imo. Samurai saw a bit of play before fading out, and Mirage has so much competition between Sentinel, Cable, and Valentina, that getting her isn't exciting.
Series 5 to series 4 looks good on the surface until you remember that we used to get direct to series 4s. Including June, when this drop will happen, we will have had 5 months in a row of no direct to series 4. In other words, we only have 2 more cards in series 4 than if we had no drops at all and did have 1 direct to series 4 (and keep in mind, we used to have months with 2 direct to series 4, like 2099 and Spider-Ham, and then Mobius and Ravonna) so this is barely a drop in the ocean of S5 bloat.
@@michaelbesser5348 at least I don’t have to spend keys or tokens to get Howard, I personally think he’s underrated. I can’t wait to get him for free now and use him in a number of decks to help out Iron Lad and jubilee, living tribunal decks also.
I bought echo for 3k but don’t own any of the other soon to be series 3 cards, a win for the conservative investor! Interested in playing around with martyr but certainly wouldn’t have spent resources on her.
The good version of the Jean deck does have a second s5 card, usagent.
oh yeah forgot about agent, i havent picked him up yet and it still does well enough with lizard in that spot though
glad to see gladator and nebula going to 4's i need both of them, so many decks i can not make since i dont have ether of them same with living tribunal, i might skip next weeks pulls since im not excited by sage and only wanted living tribunle
Gladiator silk and nebula is a solid drop.
it is interesting how they are treating series 5 as the artifical "legendary" rarity that other card games have, since not only new cards and the big bads are likely to stay there but cards like jeff and ironlad which seen significant play and are generally flexible might stay there for ages.
im happy with the rather fast in comparison, drop for martyr, she is an experimental card more or less, and more people having her is what you want with such a card, some people would play her just for the fun.
i do agree the chance for a duplicate from the four option at the spotlight is just absolute bullshit, im ok with the rate of key and what not, but getting a duplicate specially when you are missing a lot of cards? thats a slap on the face

Zombie I was just wondering if you see those new paid borders when you play snap. I play in the 60-70 range and I don't think I have ever seen any. I was just wondering if they were more common in infinite, or is it basically a product for streamers.
I just saw my first paid borders and it looked dramatic in game (it was in conquest so I have no idea what level the person is in ladder... but when it came out I said to myself here is someone who likes cosmetics).
Finally gonna get Echo for my C2
To be fair you'll cruise through series 3 pretty fast if you're a new player, and any deck can win at snap. It might be a good idea to be able to pin 3 series 3 cards though, in a rotating system. So you can better target the deck you want to play.
Idk it seems to me S3 takes well over 6 months if youre not pumping extra money in, its by no means the biggest problem with the game but anything to give those players some agency over obtaining key S3 cards would go a long way
I spent 800 dollars as new player and it took me 4 months so pretty fast is a lie. What ur right about is any deck can compete my guardians of galaxy deck I played for fun reached 20k in infinity
That's why they give you a free series 3 card every month that you can choose. I am waiting to pick up cerebro this time. I am at CL 2900 and have played for roughly 3 months. I finished below 1k last season and currently ranked 300 in the world. Any deck can win at snap as long as you have some good cards. I am playing high evo but I have other S5 cards like red guardian, white widow, nebula in it.
I could have had a lot more options to play with but I had stopped playing after the miek, annhilus spotlight and came back after the rulk spotlight.
Also I have spent zero money on the game and even wasted resources such as the 3k tokens you get on getting to s3 by buying 3 series 3 cards and all my gold on buying emotes and borders In spite of all of this I still compete with the best players in the world, so it is not a bad game even from a F2P perspective. Also if you're not spending, don't expect to have all the cards in the game. You'll have to pick and choose and that also emphasizes on the idea of every person will have a unique collection.

The Series drop might be more problematic than it solve as of now.
Both for new and old players.
New players getting bad S4 drops dilutes their S3 even further, making getting good S3 from RNG even more difficult.
Meanwhile old players like me aren't excited with these free S3 cards. I only don't have 4 S4 right now and 3 of them are dropped to S3. Meanwhile of the 7 that drop to S4 I already have 6 of them.
That means after Series Drop my missing S4 roster goes from 4/24 to 2/26. Considering S4 is weighted 2:1 in random spotlight drop, that's a huge fall in probability of receiving card from random spotlight.
I understand that it's still a net positive as I still get 3 cards for free. But the bad feeling persists from getting token from random spotlight instead of a card, and at the sacrifice of new player's experience in trying to get good S3 and complete S3 collection (which drags ½ month longer).

Do you know how many cards are in series 3 right now? I know the collection track is more bloated with avatars and titles. And more in-between each card pull.

Im missing Howard, Martyr, and Samurai. Glad I never wasted keys on them. SD made it clear that bad cards get dropped. It seems Tribunal is getting dropped to make that archetype mkre accessible. Surprised Gladiator was dropped but thats a win for players. Tech cards like Echo belong in pool 3. I'd argue psuedo tech cards like War machine and Guardian should start in series 4.
I think their plan is working, I was so worked up in the past about series drops needing to be chronological not cherry picking the worst cards, but now I'm just numb to it and say hey thanks at least some cards are dropping! Better than the s4 and s5 getting bloated at an even faster rate! Maybe the better odds will help me pull something good from the 4th cache option in the future. Gladiator and Nebula are great pick ups for players who don't have them yet.
I was really hoping for elsa to s4 and to get knull or modok to s3 would unlock 2 new archetypes for me! (It's been so long there's no way I'm buying them at this point)
So, like everyone else, I tend to unlock cards from strongest to the weakest, and at the moment I have 15 cards missing from the entire collection, 5 of them are now dropping from series 4 to series3, they literally picked the 5 worst series 4 cards to drop series( except zabu I guess, poor zabu rip).
Im sad that Martyr only appeared one time in caches

The past 3 times I use keys for the new card, I've used 4 keys each time. Would have been nice if one of them was at least 3 keys.
I need Kang to finally hit spotlights again, I feel like he hasn’t been seen for a couple months. Also I believe they said a while ago that no card was gonna be locked forever in a certain series so I don’t get why we have a gang of untouchables up there
I like I’m missing only 5-8 cards most the time and 3 I don’t have are getting dropped
I would even take 1500 tokens instead of 1000 at this point
One thing is to be fair I don’t think Howard is horrible I always thought whales wanted something shiny when they shouldn’t have.
If we get 3 series drops per year..... we move 15 cards out of series 4/5 pool in a year.... However we add 52 cards (one per week)... and 12 season pass cards for a total addition to series 4/5 of 49 cards per year.... that is going to be a big pool.

this is a dumb series in my opinion, they know what they are doing? this cards are not even up to 50% in use case even if they didn't want to push good cards to series 3 then at least added one.
