I used Kickstart 2 to sidechain. I route everything to one track. If you need to figure out how to Sidechain with Kickstart 2 I believe there are tutorials on UA-cam depending on what DAW You Use.
I'd say a great place to start is always Chords. Once you get down a basic chord or the basic mood of the song you want by making chords, making a melody tends to be easy from there. Usually, I make a "typical" Brazil Bass Shot Pattern with my One Shots, then I add extra notes from there on. I use Chords, Basic Melody, and a Higher/Better Melody After in that Order.
If you are using FL Studio, there must be something wrong with one of the knobs. There is a "Time" knob that usually has a small bit turned up. If you turn it all the way down the one shot should work fine.
@@Excl4sive My problem stems from the way the piano roll works. Usually on the upper end the pitch increases, and the lower end, decreases. For me, the pitch remains the same no matter where on the piano roll I place it.

When the sound is placed into the channel rack, click on the name within the channel rack of the sound you want to make notes with. It'll bring up a waveform and a whole bunch of other things, just like how it would when you click a VST. Once it's brought up, the time knob is turned up. If you turn it all the way down, it should be fixed.

Whats the name of the pad #1 and pad #2. Ive been looking for them in purity, serum, and nexus and havent found them yet.
They are inside of a built in FL Studio plugin called "Toxic Biohazard." The Pads names are "Deathstar" and "Darker Pad" I believe
