Ofra got Aids from her cheating, drug addicted husband. He also died from the virus. Her voice was insane
One of the best vocalist of all time in my opinion along with Whitney Houston

Wow, the pitch accuracy of Ofra Haza was out of this world! Less than 100th of a hertz it seems, yet she adapts it to the music not the note sheet. Not that there is a sheet here, but still!

She was a Yemenite Jew and Hebrew religious songs like this one were a big part of her repertoire.
Amazing you can talk for minutes about her bio without mentioning she was Jewish, especially since she's singing a religious song.

As a Jew of yemenite descent it pains me so much that she was taken away far too early I am now at her age that she was when she passed away and I believe I have many years ahead of me with God's help but she was such a precious gift to us first of all she was a wonderful human being with an amazing soul and heart and she had talent that would uplift the whole world she showed the world the beauty of our tiny yemenite Jewish community and of our love of Music dancing and community the song she sings was written by a famous yemenite Rabbi and poet who wrote hundreds of songs 300 years ago His name was Shalom Shabazi

I know I have told you before that Ofra is who brought me to your channel. I know it will sound "over the top" when I say that I believe she was sent to entertain us. Then taken too soon.

I recommend a Spanish singer, her name is Diana with the song "sola" in Salamanca. She is a very versatile singer who sings different musical styles. Mixing in this song I recommend you arabic influences with pop with some incredible melismas I think you will like it. Greetings from Spain

    Barış Manço - Dönence (1982 )
Hi from Turkey. I discovered your youtube channel today. I think you will like this clip and the music. There are some instruments in the clip that are not used today. :)
This artist is very important and has a lot of songs. He is not living now.
There is also a project I would like to suggest to you. You can discover different musical instruments and different music in this video series. The name of this project is "DOĞA İÇİN ÇAL ( play music for nature)". 12 clips have been shot so far. This is a project for nature. In this project, there are Turkish music, Turkish musical instruments, amateur and professional artists. You can discover beautiful music and musical instruments. First of all, I recommend you the 2nd clip of this video series. ( DOĞA İÇİN ÇAL 2 - UZUN İNCE BİR YOLDAYIM ) Gift. The author of the song in this clip is a folk poet. A world famous poet and philosopher (Âşık Veysel). He writes a lot of poetry for nature, so I suggested this clip first. There are 2 songs in the other clips. The 12th clip has just been released (DOĞA İÇİN ÇAL 12 - DENİZ ÜSTÜ KÖPÜRÜR, KAĞIZMAN). The first song in the clip is slow, the second song is very moving. Very nice
"DOĞA İÇİN ÇAL 4 " This is nice too. There are no words in this clip, there are musical instruments throughout the video. 3 famous Turkish movie soundtracks
