Gustave Caillebotte: "Couple on a Walk" (1881)

Like many artists of his time, Gustave Caillebotte was always drawn away from the city to the tranquil countryside of France, especially Normandy, where he painted "Couple Strolling" in 1881. In it, Caillebotte vividly combines his themes: Town and country, everyday scenes, light and atmosphere - and, again and again, strolling citizens.
For more than 100 years, the painting was hidden from the public; only written mentions in letters and press articles were known, along with a caricature-like drawing by Jules Renard, which, however, revealed essential compositional elements. It was not until the mid-1990s that the work reappeared in the public eye.

Spannend finde ich ihn auch sehr, so ein vielseitiger Maler. Übrigens war er auch als Bootsbauer sehr erfolgreich - eine von ihm entwickelte Bootsklasse ist noch heute Sportsegelstandard.

Es que vous savez la function et le but de cette oeuvre d’art? Pourquoi a-t-il fait ce travail?

Parler de "but" est toujours quelque chose comme ça avec les œuvres impressionnistes... Une déclaration d'image concrète comme dans la peinture d'histoire ou dans les motifs d'influence religieuse n'est pas prévue dans l'impressionnisme.
Mais je propose une interprétation possible dans la vidéo elle-même.
