If you eat alone, yea.. Maybe even for 2 but if you plan on making a substancial meal for any more than that and it'll probably be cheaper to make it yourself. Also keep in mind that he's using 3 pounds of beef. It's a pretty damn humble meal as it is

Why cook the onions with the gb and then drain the gb? I would cook the gb first and drain. then add onions brown them up. Maybe add a lil olive oil (extra virgin) alone then add the the GB back mix add the other ingredients mix and simmer. That way you keep the flavor of the onion.

    • @CookingwithRick
      @CookingwithRick  3 роки тому +2

Hi John, it's easier to fry the onions with the ground beef and you don't lose the onion flavor cause your keeping the onions. Thank you for watching I appreciate it.

Me, I simply put with minced steak...
    1- Green pepper
    2- Onion
    3- Kraff Spicy Barbecue Sauce
    4- Salt & a little black pepper
On a large hamburger bun, I put the meat on one half of the bun and on the other I put a slice of yellow melted cheese.
Then I put the oven on broil, when the bread is golden, I take it out of the oven.
    To eat with fries.
Too good, and so much simpler. 😉

I think I'm giving up on sloppy Joe's, my mom used to make them and they would be very tasty. But whatever she uses now tastes like very strong ketchup.
Sloppy Joe's should be made with spaghetti sauce and nothing else.

Bullshit, it's not mince! That's a verb. An action that is taken. When u cut it up very small = mince. Hamburger is ground beef or a cow ground into burger. USA with a little FYI for u.

      @@mikecarr1145 In Australia it's a noun
Its sold as regular, premium, heart smart etc etc blah blah blah.
But it's all called mince in Oz.
To be honest it doesn't matter what you call it. Its all just beef processed through a mincer.
