Now you could get a custom ballhead from Zero fox given for a Bog Deathgrip and have the same thing for significantly less money.

Have you tried the RRS leveling base and clamp? I think you would like it much better. That lock lever has a lot of throw to move forward to lock it.

@@HoosierHunter I will use Manbily ball head, with 15kg max cap, and the arca-swiss i will convert to picatinny rail, the converter i will make by myself, screwing together betwen arca-plate & female-picatinny, because the price of branded adapter is twice more than ball head price, as a main component. The tripod i will use Takara Spirit3, thats suitable for stationer shooting.
But, I am still thinking about the load cap and lifetime of the 1/4 inch screw use on Manbily (camera spec) ball head, and the material of the arca plate body, I hope will be fine like yours.

I am starting from scratch with a tripod system. Would you be so kind as to list all recommended items from tripod, anvil 30, and Arca rail gun attachment… Being that you made this video in 2020, is the Anvil 30 still your recommendation?

    • @HoosierHunter

Whichever RRS tripod that fits you or you like the most, Anvil 30 (the best) and MLOK Arca plate off of RRS's website. If your rail is MLOK. This will be the best setup out there.

I've been through 3 ball heads now and none meet my expectations because they all have some level of sag. I've spent up to $400 on a ball head and when I lock it down it still sags 5-9 degrees. My rifle weight 9.6 lbs. Do all ball head just have some level of sag? I'm looking for a head that I can get my rifle on target, lock it down and not have it move off the target. Will the Anvil 30 meet my expectations? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Good video.
