In 1993, MKO Abiola/Kingibe won the Nigerian presidential election. Authur Nzeribe, an Igboman was crying all over the country about how the election was rigged without providing a single evidence. He was appealing to traditional, religious, military rulers to "save our democracy"
Military ruler, Sanni Abacha, who did not want to leave power anyways annuled the election, MKO Abiola was jailed, and later died in prison. After his death, it was discovered that there was no rigging, in fact it was the freest and fairest election in Nigeria's history.
Fast forward to 2023 presidential election. Tinubu/Shetima won the presidential election. Pat Utomi, Chukwuemeka Ezeife are cyring all over the country about rigged election without a single evidence...Nigerians need to stand at alert.

Nzeribe was just a hired noise-maker for Abacha, but at least he was open about it. Compare the treachery of Yoruba Obas who hailed Abiola during the day and collected bribes from Abacha at night. The key individuals that Abacha used to finish Abiola were Yoruba (including MKO's fellow Egbas like Shonekan). IBB could not compromise Abia-born INEC Chairman Prof. Eme Awa; nor could he persuade Prof. Humphrey Nwosu (who took over from Awa) to withhold the results. If the tables were turned, would a Yoruba INEC chairman withstand a military dictator, for the benefit of an Igbo man? Admiral Allison Madueke lost his military career because he vehemently opposed Abacha on June 12. The South-West caucus in the military agreed that Madueke should raise the issue at the Provisional Ruling Council and that they will all support him. When he finally did, the spineless Diya and his clansmen failed to back him up as agreed!
After the June 12 election was annulled, many Yoruba leaders escaped abroad (including Tinubu, a fake activist). NADECO was formed to challenge the cabal. While Jakande, Onagoruwa, and others refused to heed the clarion call not to serve under Abacha, an Igbo (Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu) became the chairman and co-founder of NADECO Nigeria, a position that almost cost him his life. Another Igbo - Chief Ralph Obioha led NADECO-USA; another Igbo - Chief Raph Uwechue (later President of Ohaneze) was chairman of NADECO-UK; yet another Igbo - Emma Ezeazu led NADECO Youth wing. Remember that NADECO/OPC were the Yoruba equivalent of MASSOB/IPOB! NADECO was shunned by the Northerners while the Igbo made NADECO a national affair, thus creating the momentum for Nigeria to practically concede the Presidency to the SW in 1999. The Igbo are not against Thiefnubu because he is Yoruba, but because he is a hardened criminal who does not have the interest of anyone at heart but only uses Yoruba tribal sentiments to advance his criminality! The Igbo are equity-driven people. To confuse BAT's political ambition with Yoruba's interest is stupidity on steroids. Believe it or not, BAT is the single greatest threat to the well-being of the Yoruba ethnic group today.
