Three senior most Judges of SC including CJ to decide suo moto and bench formation is a good proposal. Parliamentary review of appointment of judges should also be incorporated but it needs Constitutional amendment.

Review is already available but it has very limited scope. Appeal has very wide scope vis a vie review. Appeal shall definitely be heard by a different bench.!!!

Almost all segments of society on committing corruption had been punished and imprisoned by the courts of law other than Judges if punished but was not imprisoned, this is to kill the spirit of justice. So it must be legislated by parliament to bring it in due course of justice.

Aizaz Bhai got the appeal part wrong. Today's bill was only about suo motu. The clause Aizaz mentioned says that u can appeal a suo motu verdict, not any verdict, within 30 days of the issuance of the verdict while the supreme court is bound to hear such an appeal within 14 days of the day the appeal is filed.
