Y'know, this song fits unreasonably well with All Tomorrows, if only for the sense of longing and loss it invokes. I could perfectly see a snake person chilling out to this, knowing the long, arduous journey his race has been through; being mangled to unrecognizable degrees by literal space gods, made to suffer for some far-off, idealized goal that'll never come, and only having the ability to melancholically accept this fate and push on with life.
Humanity's gone through so much, but still, the human spirit remains. I really do think that's a beautiful aspect of the book. Even after millions of years of torment, you still have humans who can just chill out and listen to some tunes.
