- Factory hard reset will reset your phone to factory settings. Hard reset will clear a forgotten pass code. The reset will remove all data, including photos, contacts, texts, etc. WILL NOT REMOVE APPLE ID - ICLOUD. Very easy to understand. Thank you. For my 5C, i actually just needed to hold in the home button rather than both the home and power button. It worked the same.

If you are talking about the apple password, there is no way to remove that without typing it in. If its just the front password to get into the phone this will remove it.
I forgot my apple Id and password..so my question is if I do this whole operation..will my phone ask my apple Id and password..reply soon

Thanks a LOT! My screen is dead and have no way of knowing what menu is on the touch screen.... so no way to wipe the phone except through the computer. I was able to time the Recovery mode based on your video and it’s now Restoring and wiping so I don’t have to worry about recycling it and someone having access to my info. Much appreciated!

You should have started the phone up to the home screen, because it will ask for your apple id password farther in the setup menu.

what exactly does this do? will this get you passed the icloud lock or the pass code lock?
