Hi you should make a Crash Course on Power Bi, I have been in BI for a while, but man your designs are phenomenal, I also incorporate your instructions in my reports & they become 10x useful, Thanks Mannn!!
Mais um vídeo excelente! Já usei algumas dessas técnicas em alguns dos meus projetos, mas a tela escura de fundo destacando o menu (4:10) é simples e impactante. Sempre aprendo algo de valor neste canal, parabéns.
@@yourownkpi Hello Zsolti, I don't have the habit of reading the "about" part on UA-cam and I saw a little about the purpose of the channel, I asked about your nationality as you have a European accent. Once again, congratulations on the excellent work, I'm already second to you on LinkedIn.
Nicely demonstrated. Thanks for you time and effort! Edit: I recently saw a video on another channel where you add a hidden textbox to document the bookmark setup, to help you remember the configuration in the future.
This is great! Well done and thank you! I have one question: when I use the last navigation option with the dropdown menus, it works perfectly and navigates me to the desired page. However, when I return to the original page, the selected menu item is still displayed. Did I miss something, or is there a way to reset it so it doesn't display?
This is a fault in the design indeed. The only thing I can think of is to use bookmark navigators instead of page navigators. But then you have so many bookmarks that it doesn't worth the hassle.
Nice work. I’ve got a question on the Nav Special Country. Since it mimics dropdown menu, what happens to the dropdown menu when the menu item is clicked? For me, it navigated to related page.but the menu stayed there. When I navigated back to the previous page, my dropdown menu just hung around. Is there any way to collapse the menu once the menu item has been clicked? Thank you.
Yes thats an issue unfortunately. The only thing I can think of is to create bookmarks instead of using page navigatiors. But then it's too much effort to do this feature.
I tried to replicate this approach. As you mentioned I used new Bookmarks in new pages and built the page navigation effectively. But When I select page in navigator group and if I come back to same page , the page navigation is not hiding ,last selected navigator group will be visible .I mean navigation off is not working at that point. How to do that.
what I can think of is to use bookmark navigators instead of page navigators and the setup is that a bookmark for a certain page should hide the navigation panel (affect display only on selected visuals). That means additional bookmakrs unfortunately.
In this case it doesn't make a difference, since no visuals with data are effected by the bookmarks, only the selected bookmark navigators. If you want to show/hide visuals or filters without affecting what data they show or what is selected in them, then you need to uncheck the Data
your technique is impressive......but I´m struggling on navigation through pages once when I move back to the previous page the navigator page drop down is visible......I don´t know how to reset to the default state or even if it´s possible.....
i mean! Even if we have a fancy looking hidden navigator, when we "close" it, it will return the charts that be showed on "X" button bookmark. No matter we choose which bookmark for that specific button, when we close nav bar, they will all back to the same chart. That's a point and purpose of creating hidden nav.
Not if the X button bookmark only afets the "Display" but not the "Data" of the Selected visuals (which are the navigation panel elements). Visuals remain unaffected by the navigation bookmarks.
I never miss any of your videos.....that´s always something impressive and out of box.....you stand out from the crowd man...incredible....congrats
Thanks I appreciate it :D
You are a life saver... I was waiting for this for a long time... We want more videos more often 👍
Youre welcome 😄 more videos to come
This is going to be huge for my next project! Thank you so much!

Great to hear man! A design course is definitely on my agenda, it's just a matter of time

That's great, there will be more useful design-focused videos if you stick around (no translated answer this time haha)
@@yourownkpi Wonderful, I will continue to follow your work, just curious, you are European, right?
Im from Hungary but I live in Germany :)

Thanks and that's a great tip. I wish I documented more

Really great

Is there a way to add a button that allows you to enter comments or text to a field and then click save it shows up in the visual of power bi

I think it would be better if you start from scratch and explain that will help a lot.
Should the "Data" option of the bookmarks been unchecked during the setup?

Me too!Following
How did you divided the Page navigator into sections?
I used multiple page navigators

I feel like we Power BI report builders need to build a statue of Zsolti to properly honor his Alpha Design powers.
😂
Just wow
