May we sing together, always May our voice be soft May our singing be music for others And may it keep others aloft Sing, sing gently, always Sing, sing as one (as one) May we stand (may we stand) together, always May our voice be strong May we hear the singing and May we always sing along (along) Sing, sing gently, always Sing, sing as one (as one) Singing gently as one
I'm the guy next to the guy with pink hair second row from the back. (Wearing maroon) This was genuinely so awesome to do and I'm happy I got to be apart of it!!
Just as Vincent Persichetti wrote music to make amateur wind ensembles sound great, so did Eric Whitacre do the same for high school and college choirs. Wonderful music!
Thank you so so much for sharing this. To each of us, keep on "singing gently". It's what the world needs. Brings back many many memories for me from my youth.
I missed the deadline to be in the virtual choir version of this by 30 minutes. :( Also this is insanely beautiful. I miss my AHS choir! As I was listening to this, I was thinking, "aw, I wonder if Eric Whitacre will see this". Then I looked at the conductor. I am beyond jealous! I wish I was at AHS on the day they got to do this! Anyway, incredible job.
I am in the video we made together with thousands of fellow choir friends from all over the world . This is so wonderful it brings tears to my eyes hope we together can help each other . Thank you for posting much love ❤️
I went to this conference. It wasn't this exact one but it was the same thing in the same place and whatnot just a different group. Anyway, it was incredible. Hearing so many choir students singing together like that was honestly so inspiring. We sang 3 songs, sing gently (the one in the video), seal lullaby, and a boy and a girl. All three song were just so beautiful and the way Eric Whitacre critiqued our singing and explained how he wrote the songs was incredibly educational. 10/10 experience.
This song saved my sanity during the pandemics! I will always love Eric Whitacre for creating the song and the Virtual Choir
My God, this is pure and wondedvul!
I sang this in the virtual choir. It made me so happy to participate. These young people sound awesome.
So did I!

Gloriously .. beautiful...moving ..
You just can't beat youth! More power to them. They are the next generation and our hope is in them
May we sing together, always
May our voice be soft
May our singing be music for others
And may it keep others aloft
Sing, sing gently, always
Sing, sing as one (as one)
May we stand (may we stand) together, always
May our voice be strong
May we hear the singing and
May we always sing along (along)
Sing, sing gently, always
Sing, sing as one (as one)
Singing gently as one
