Indeed those were the best of times and the worst of times, and looking back now I'm so proud to have been a radical boot boy fighting against commie scum and tyranny of some small elites and their secret society of snobs. I am also 60 this year still love Oi punk. There are sides to any issue, and that is the politics of the issue. The Oppressed were the opposite, but I like them as well. I'm old, can you recommend some newer bands please?
@@tubaljohn1 Well, You are right there, didnt think that far. I am 45 myself and still mainly listen to 'the originals' that I was brought up on in the early 90's. But some newer bands that have caught my eye is Bishops Green, Lions Law and Crown Court.

As usual, the song Combat 84 is the demo version, and not the FAR superior one from the actual single. I'm not sure why they seem determined to never offer the correct version on cd again, the one and only time it ever got a cd release was on the 1996 Oi! The Rarities Vol. 5 cd from Captain Oi. All the other songs have since been remastered and re-released on cd, meaning that the TRUE version of the song doesn't sound that good in comparison, so even if you try to burn a cd with the correct version, it won't ever be ideal. Bummer.
sometimes it's nice that those songs are kept special, away from the bullshit of the internet and modernity. only for those who really search to discover the true gems
