It's like they refuse to acknowledge the fact that players over 230 can be backs. What should be common sense isn't. Remember when everyone was saying Derrick Henry should be a linebacker? Now he's looking like a Hall of Fame RB.
@@ChillConservative2k15 how many colleges did you go to to come up with that brilliant statement? But this is why you watch football and don't coach it. If the few 230 plus backs are doing well, then what are you even really talking about?
I had a love hate relationship with ESPN football highlights. Love because that's the football I grew up and Chris Berman was charismatic. But also hate because it reminded me that I had to go to school the next morning.
Went to high school with Means...he was 2 years behind me and had a brother (Adrian) that was 1 year ahead of me. (Central Cabarrus HS, Concord, NC) I remember one game we won 47-7 and he scored all the TDs; 5 rushing, returned a punt AND a kickoff for a TD as well. He was a sophomore playing on the varsity team at that time and everyone in Cabarrus county knew he was going to make it to the NFL. Kinda stinks he didn't last very long, but at least he made it and went to a SB during the short career he had.
I went to Forest Hills High School and graduated the same year as Means. We played the Vikings each year for awhile. Got to see him play a couple times. Means was literally as big as the lineman on those Central Cabarrus teams. You could tell then he was going to be a pro.
Natrone Means rushes for 110 yards in week 17 to help knock off the Falcons for Jacksonville’s first ever playoff appearance. Means scored 2 TDs up in Buffalo and ran wild for 175 yards. Buffalo was 9-0 at home prior to that game. The week after that he went for 140 yards up in Denver to help put the Jags one game away from the Super Bowl. He was absolutely great in the playoff wins for Jacksonville in 1996. He rushed for 1350 yards for SD in his 2nd year. He never went over 1000 yards in any other season. He was tough to bring down.
Man I miss big backs. St Louis had CJ Andersen he was big. But they were determined to cut him, even after he played good. Natrone means was moving like a smaller guy, in today's pass first NFL, a throw back like means would be hard to stop.
Has anyone given more people an opportunity to come up with great nicknames than Natrone Means? Natrone Bomb, Natrone Refried Means, Natrone Means business, Natrone Means touchdowns
Man braylon was so amazing at times. Guy had the talent to be a hall of fame guy. He just had no focus after he started struggling . Guy could catch the hardest passes, then just drop 3 in a row of his hands.
I would like that. Because Butts was better than Means. .. Just slightly ... But he was more disciplined, fumbled less ... Of course, end of 1993 SD had to displace him. - Means was just faster.
Best nickname ever lol also I like after a few games and seeing how good he was, Chris Berman had to upgrade his nickname from Refired Means to Natrone Means Business!!
Means a very solid back. Hard hitting and exciting runner. He should be in the Hall. Helped take the Chargers to the Superbowl. I know they lost but to Young,Rice and company of the 49ers.

@@waynebarnette1435 You see him in Week 1, vs Miami (which is on here) - Near the end zone - Getting hit, low, from his right ... Uugghh.. You can tell he shouldn't be out there.
I miss big backs like Means. Very underappreciated back in the long history of the NFL.

@@marcusdupree8209 Maybe because most 230 backs are slow and cant catch, which makes them a liability when running or catching the ball. Duh 🙄

I don't know...... Eight years is fairly long career, for a running back.

Mannn I go to CCHS and I wanna have that legacy or Mr Means… he grew up with my momma and I loved being coached by him

Ppl will never see football like this any more
I absolutely loved watching him run one of the last great power backs
I loved this guy as a kid! What a stud running back!
I got to see Natrone play in high school a couple times. He literally looked like a man among the boys on his Central Cabarrus Vikings team. A beast.
I had totally forgotten about this guy. He was similar to alstott but more speed
WAYYY more speed, and quick feet.
More like a smaller version of Earl Campbell'/!!!
He was built in the similar vein as Jerome Bettis. A big powerful back with quick feet and deceptive speed.
They came out in the same draft in 1993. Except Jerome was #1st round draft pick and Natrone was a 2nd round draft pick.

Great job on the highlights. Die hard lifetime Niner fan. But Natrone is my all time favorite back!
Nice compilation!
Him, Butts, Barry Word ... All were thrilling to watch.
He was a monster
Another NC legend
If you did this! Your got to do Ironhead lol. Thanks for this one!
jeebs9 please do an Ironhead Hayward
I thoroughly enjoyed this! Thank you!
Make big running backs cool again

That guy just couldn't get a chance but always looked good when he did. No reason another team didnt sign him
Jsn your the best football highlight guy on UA-cam your the best
Thank ya homie...........
@@JsnHighlights1316 your welcome my friend
Thanks for posting this I have looked for his highlights for years to show my son!
Natron means was a beast
I always liked using him on Madden 96 for super Nintendo because he had a cool name
Brings back memories when I was young (10) I’m now in my 30s
A true BruiserBack, really fun to watch him smash through the line and clobber the secondary
My all-time favourite Charger running back
One of my favs to watch. So agile.

Love your channel man great upload! Could you possibly make a Bob Sanders or Braylon Edwards video?

Damn JSN, you got stats in the description now... That’s above and beyond effort right there 👍🏻
After watching this, I can't stop saying Natrone Means Business.
Neeeeeever knew he was called Natrone "Refried" Means 😂😂😂😂 that was better than Natrone Means "Business" imo ❤
Great job as always JSN
Awesome! Marion butts next?

To me Chris Berman could've been the next John Madden. He was one of the best things about ESPN's Sunday Night Football.
He had the best nickname Berman ever gave to someone'/!!!

Means was a force to be reckoned with. And yes he loved his beans.
My favorite big RB

One of the best names ever. How did his career end? I’m 45 and still remember him. He was great. And a great name for Berman
Sweet Sweet Natron Means
A young Ray Lewis had to twist up Nate’s ankle in order to stop him!
Back when Ray was 225
Crazy that natrone one of my friends dad and I went to his house last year for a new years party
Super Tecmo Bowl 3 him Deion Sanders n Herman Moore were a must have
Classic downhill runner. Like John Riggins.
Thank God Berman stopped calling him Refried Means. Natrone Means Business is a much better nickname
Refried Means business
Natrone means business 😈
We're done with refried. He just means business!😂😂
I’m sorry but wade’s reaction to the cannon at 3:22 is just funny

The real 🚌🚌 20
Chargers currently need a guy like him
I know a running back that runs similar to Natron and that's King Derrick Henry
