    Megamen rise up.
    Also no offense is intended to Hero.EXE or Duelists of Eden. I love indie devs, I think they are all champs and are the lifeblood of this industry, keeping alive genres that AAA games have left behind. Games like Hero and Duelists look great and I'm glad they're getting produced. I sincerely hope they get the sales they deserve. I'm just a little wah-wah baby man-child who wants my Megaman characters lol.

      Megaman Battle Network already pushes my reaction speed to the limit (I have slower than average), Duelists of Eden looks actively impossible to me. Though I have never heard of Hero.Exe so thanks for the heads up.
      For another Indie attempting Battle Network style gameplay Endlanders has been pecking away at it for a while and had a pretty decent demo. My main problem with it is that when you use your default blaster it locks you in place for a little bit. It is just a change I couldn't get used to over a demo but it has a very nice and distinct art style with plenty of potential.

    If there is anything I have learned about Capcom, it's that they are ABSURDLY paranoid about things and convince themselves that a bad sales quota will repeat every time they use something that failed before, like it is actual FATE. No matter how little sense that makes. No matter what external factors existed at the time. Do you remember Street Fighter 4? The game that revitalized a WHOLE GENRE? The person behind that had to convince people to let him make it. And when he basically said he wanted to do the same to Darkstalkers? No. Because re-releases (re-releases that were only about 2-3 years apart from each other) didn't sell well. Because people didn't buy the PS3 re-release and hit the goal of like 4 million(again, probably because several people already had bought one).
    Even if it is totally the fault of people who made the wrong decisions, it's like they think supernatural forces carved into history itself determine it all, and not just... logical things like lack of marketing or a bad feature or two, which could be removed next time. On one hand? It means they never push their luck with a bad idea. On the other? Just so much lying on the floor that could make them BILLIONS if they had the right game plan. But here's the secret: I've noticed it's not the first massive sales explosion that gets them onboard these days. It's the follow-up. They want something to come back to. Street Fighter kept selling, despite 5's early shortcomings, and now we're on our way to 6, with 5 getting multiple Season Passes. The new Resident Evil has been consistently doing good despite its own hiccups. It's franchises. That's what they want. So when the follow-up to Battle Network shows up, that's what they're going to use, I think.

    There's a simple reason why Capcom doesn't make Megaman games. They don't sell. Megaman's reputation is distorted by SNES days' popularity when like 200 000 games sold was huge. They could sell those figures or they could make a new RE game or Monster Hunter and sell over 10 times more. It's true Megaman is one of the most recognized gaming mascots, everyone's played at least one Megaman game in their life. But that's the problem - They've only played one. Passionate MM fanbase is surprisingly small. Now MMBN Collection did sell probably the most the series has ever sold, so maybe it'll open Capcom's eyes that MMBN has some untapped nostalgia value in it and we'll get a new MMBN game. Hope so.

    • @fearhunger3983
      @fearhunger3983 Рік тому

      @@alenezi989a3 Yeah that is true. I was just trying to make a point that Capcom probably won't commit to something that doesn't have a possibility of profit. I just don't see Capcom bringing back classic formula MM(or MMX or MMZ) because those just don't seem to sell even when there's some money put into them like MM11. People keep asking for new games, but either those people are just a vocal minority or people just have trouble putting money where their mouth's at.
      MMBN Collection does show promise, so maybe Capcom will make a new one? I could see a new MMBN game be a bit more appealing to normies too. I'd kinda love to see a new MM series actually. God I wish there was a revival. Could still recall my earliest memory since I was a kid, hell it was probably my earliest memories in life, to be obsessed with the megaman ExE anime. I've lost major portion of that memory but I still remember back then craving to recall those memories. Hell I even remember the days where I call roll as pink megaman because she looked so similar to megaman but pink. God nostalgia hits hard.
    It took me 12 or so years to finally find it and when I did I was introduced to rockman (megaman 1) and the rest of series like megaman x, megaman zero and ofc, battle network. If there is a revival then I can be a child just one more time. Obsessed with the famous blue boi
