no doubt that ariana is one of the singers with one of the most consistent voices in the industry today. Singing 30 songs a night with lots of high notes and at the end of the show her voice doesn't seem tired.
@@RC-yj7dm She overall definitely has a great technique. You could have lower comfortable tessitura, and consistently hit your own upper belts (let's say E5 for mezzo-sopranos and F#5 for sopranos) but I don't think many mezzos are like that or singers in general, I could only think of Beyoncé, plus Beyoncé's technique is heavier than Ariana and she is more support-focused rather than ease/mixing. There are even a lot of light lyric sopranos in the industry, Camila Cabello, SZA, Katy Perry, Billie Eilish, Melanie Martinez, Halsey, etc. but they are just far not as good as Ariana.
@@KajiVocals ? she always had an strong chest voice, she's just a high soprano and already showed that her limit using pure chest is around D3, she does have technique to sustain so its not lack of it, just isnt comfortable enough to be consistent, also singing low tire faster, especially when you're a high soprano

@rock girl Her head voice is definitely not weak, she just does not use it as much because it sounds theatrical, and she prefers a light sound. An example of her singing in headvoice is when she sang "sing the song that goes like this" in the carpool karaoke with Seth MacFarlane. She sang the entire song in headvoice.

Exactly! That also reminds me of a time when Gaga was considered an average pop singer back in the early 2010s, even though she had done multiple impressive acoustic performances that showed her vocal chops. And then came her "Cheek to Cheek" era and her tribute to the Sound of Music (as well as her subsequent eras) and suddenly people begin to appreciate her vocal prowess. The genres and styles these artists choose to perform in definitely affect how people think of their overall talent and artistry, which is kinda sad because it implies that most people have this notion that everything related to pop music is mediocre and not worth checking out, despite the fact that there are a handful of incredible artists making pop music today.
Her creativity for note changes is one of my favorite things about her... she's definitely an inspiration to me as a singer when it comes to that (other stuff too obviously, but definitely that... there are not many singers nowadays that change their songs THAT much when singing live)
Ariana's honestly is my favourite singer of all time. Technically she's one of the best of our time for sure. She's not perfect but neither is any other singer. Everyone has a register or vocal effect they need to work on. She's a star I love her so much!!!
honestly the only thing she really needs to work on is her lows. she recently hit a D3 in net him last night which is really good especially for someone with her vocal type. she's good in every other register.
@@headoverdiors see this is the thing. Hitting a note isn’t sufficient, how you hit it is what counts! Ariana *IS NOT AGILE* enough to pull off a complex run that will allow her to enter her 3rd in an artistic way. it’s safe to say ariana is top 10 greatest vocalists of this generation like i def see her being top 5 if not top 3 in a few years once she fully goes back to her 2012 technique

@@molokwuchinonso9249 for me, her best performance on the SWT are Hamburg, or Brooklyn, maybe Antwerp too. I don't think that there's ANYONE doing adlibs as fast as her! She's such a creative singer, and 99% of the times she does random adlibs, it always comes out to be fitting to the moment, and she memorizes that and change it a little bit on the next performance!
I agree with every SINGLE point. She’s an impressive vocalist, but sometimes people set her up to a level that she is not up to YET. Hopefully, her fans can see your positive intentions and that this video is nothing but just praise and a honest tribute to her vocal abilities.
I like what you said about Ariana being an stylistic vocalist. One thing that I like about Ariana is that she makes these sounds that nobody would even think would be possible for a human. Also her tone is so rich and beautiful, and her ease and stamina is out of this world. 👽 🚀 🌌
ariana definitely changed how pop stars and music is perceived. her musicality and versatile voice is amazing. she showed pop stars can do different types of genres. plus she shocked everyone with her high vocals bc most artists used to make songs kinda easy for their fans to sing. she really made an impact on the music industry. i agree with everything you said in the video. plus her whistle register is crazy too. she is the vocalist of this generation and not scared to test the waters and do different styles and vocals
I think she has the package. She is great in every register and with every style there is. Not the best in all of them. But consistent and great. That’s why she is for me, the best Vocalist of this generation.
i do fell that too, shes not the BEST in something but shes always there and the same applies to her carrer as a popstar, she have the full packcage: she's not the master of singing but she CAN sing she's not the master of dancing but she CAN dance she's not the best writer but she CAN write she's not the best performer but she CAN perform she's not the most iconic (talking ab visual identity) but she DOES have iconic visual identity she's not the best seller but she's ONE of them shes never at the top but she's always around and that is what makes her good in general, not being the best at something but great in everything
Maybe not the best this generation but She is The Voice of This Generation The Voice of this Generation means someone who has vocals and very recognized voice that have hits and influence and thats Ariana
please, Ariana has both *technique* & *style* and both *talent* & *popularity* and is quite deserving of it all! she EXCELS in today's pop music industry, that's not an opinion it's FAX

Are you on stan twt? There are stans that set her up, bring other female singers down to lift her up, and they're literally just living their mean bitch high school character that they never got to live. I follow some good ones but I wouldn't say that she has the greatest fandom.
Okay so I like ariana but let's be real some arianators are toxic af . And this goes for every fandom. But some arianator can be extremely biased and can't see anything outside the box.
I’m not gonna lie and this will sounds crazy, but I used to think Ariana was overrated as a vocalist bc of the constant comparisons to Mariah Carey who I always been in love with musically and vocally, and while she had a lot of great vocal moments early in her career, I always thought it was not as great as everyone made it out to be this was espacially during the my everything era where her vocal flaws were more in the forefront. It wasn’t until the dangerous woman era where I slowly realized she is a great vocalist for contemporary pop music and then both the sweetener and thank u next eras came in that sentiment confirmed this. One thing that really cemented my admiration for her as a vocalist is her consistency and progression with her ability, the Ariana vocals in 2018/2019 sounds completely different than Ariana in 2014/2015, her breath control, lower register, riffs/runs, whistle/falsetto notes and belts gotten so much better
@plein de grande Tristesse bruhh stfu I only thought she was overrated bc of the Mariah Carey comparisons and a lot of times espacially during the my everything era her vocal flaws were more present than before so wtf are you talking about

Probably Princess of Pop since Madonna is the queen of Pop already. I honesly think these titles are not even necessary to a point because some stans will use it to justify their hatred towards another singer for no other reason but thats just my opinion on it

@@goldranger5182 I totally forgot that Brittney was awarded that title. Well she will probably be named after something she is known for and something her stans will use to overboost her actual skills.
Omg not you calling out the troll/crazy stan by the end of the video and them STILL showing up in this comment section lmao. Anyways, i think u have a point when you say she made showcasing vocal skills trendy (the amount of girls that ONLY cover Ariana grande songs I've seen with viral videos on this platform is mind boggling to say the least, it's like a whole new breed of Ariana wannabes) but i believe it might not appear on mainstream media just yet. Ari has become an a-lister over the past 2-3 years so I definitely think we'll be able to see her influence and impact on a future generation of singers. Great video, as always! And keep up the good content, you're doing amazing sweetie 💕✨
Eh ain't nobody care who he call out, its not gonna stop anyone at all also I do agree that people are one trick ponys and only do Ariana songs just to show that they can hit high notes and wail on a song, its honestly so dumb because singing is more than just "Look at me I can high notes and look pretty at the same time"
@@milesheizer698 well i respect your opinion . Ariana can sung but for me the best vocalist of this generation is beyonce. She has the technique , consistency you need in a vocalist. Ariana is in the top 5 for me.
Also her sense of rythm is one of the best!! i think she is the only one popular pop singer nowadays that can producing vocal by herself, making many kind of harmony and adlibs. i'm sorry but her ability in "voice stuff" is top tier and also her whistle register is even more better now, her technique now is more like mariah carey whistle that have airy sound a little bit so it's not hurting my ears. She has incredible high notes, solid mid belts, good and audible low notes up until F#3 and stable low notes below too, agility is by far her strongest suit in my opinion, pretty angelic falsetto and she’s incredibly versatile singing so many different genres such as: Pop, Broadway, trap, RnB, Rap, ballad, Jazz, Soul, classical, Hip-Hop, EDM, Reggae, Indie, Doo Woop.
could you do some more vocal analysis?! idk what kind of music you listen to but i’ll just throw out some recommendations: rina sawayama, solange, tinashe, fka twigs, dua lipa, kali uchis, azealia banks, or bjork.... that was a lot lol but hope at least one of them makes it. fantastic video as always :)
i always had a feeling that ari kinda reinvented pop. my everything singles were pure pop but she still gave us very high belts and falsettos. that kinda flexing was more present in R&B and ballads but she combined great vocals with dance music. but that's just my opinion. i'm not that knowlegable aboit history of music
That's not your opinion, that's just a straight up fact. Many articles were published by reputable magazines and musical professionals have said that Ariana has infact reinvented pop around 2018 when music industry was more into hip hop/rap music. They credited Ariana as the only one who reinvented pop with her own hint. She's amazing. Her musicality and impact in such a short time is so impressive. Not many people can say that they started to influence people/other artists and the music industry as a whole at such a young age and with a short career.
I read a comment somewhere that "Break Free" might be the most vocally diverse EDM song to sing or something along those lines, b/c EDM songs almost always focus on the beat, but Zedd and Ariana made sure her vocal prowess was still there. And I can't agree enough especially with how good she's sung it live

Ariana's first 3 albums really are vocal heavy albums. i think she did that to secure a place in the industry (just like what Taylor said to Miss Americana Docu "me not writing my song, i wouldn't be here", or same as those lines), and for ariana it's her vocals. after DW she did slow down and have more chill songs but it also kinda her biggest challenge. like i love her but im over with those rnb/trappy beats. hope she be going back with ballads/jazz in AG7. 🖤
Definitely one of the best vocalists of her generation. Hands down. She absolutely has the total package. She may not be the greatest vocalist (A+) status... yet...but she’s easily an A. And let me say even the A+ vocalists aren’t perfect by any means even in their primes!
Then the video will basically be a sole analysis of her singing in general then 😅👀 Beyonce is so incredibly skilled that every part of her voice is developed and well utilised that it's hard to pick her most impressive feat; whether it's her extensive lower range, soaring belts, majestic head voice, top notch agility, mastery of dynamics, or live stamina. It's funny how she has nothing left to prove in terms of showmanship and technique yet some people still think she's not worthy of icon status. 🤣🥴

I love this video so much. I respect your opinion and honestly is so on point with what her pros are. I think Ariana is fairly close to the pedestal than we like to believe but she still has a few more things to do to get to it. As a fan of pop music she's definitely one of my top 5 favorite pop singers and all because of how she sings, her tone is so beautiful and she makes some banger songs. R.E.M, imagine, pov, breathin, tattooed heart, break your heart right back and everytime have to be my top favorite songs but I do love her music so much.
I love this video! Thank you for putting so much effort, and about Ariana, this girl is truly impressive. If I had her voice, I would definitely never shut up.
the thing is, she should be put on a pedestal.. the last artist with similar chart and album achievements and vocal skill that is like Ariana is Beyoncé.. People bring up Tori Kelly or other artists that don’t have anywhere near Ariana’s chart achievement. In music nowadays, Ariana is the vocalist of her generation
She's literally the definition of unique for a vocalist. Like, most people hate her because she sounds so girly and out of tune, but it just shows she's a really great vocalist that no one can duplicate.
She truly is a vocalist and she’s aware of her own voice, the video where she’s recording vocals for Positions is extremely good because we can see how she knows what it works and what it doesn’t.
Finally a video abt what she is doing RIGHT and an nice true and unbias against and for her!! I love her and I think she is great vocalist but every vocalist can improve.
idk if this is like related to the points you made, but i want to suggest her ability to harmonize with herself so well and being able to do it instantly. you included the positions bts footage where she's doing just that but didn't talk about it
My favorite parts of her voice is her low notes and mid belts (A4-C#5) i mean... for her...a C#5 is still a mid belt rigth? I think her tone really shows off there.
It's because the way we stan vocals were using that term is completely made up, none vocal coach will ever refer to support as yall (including myself in the past) do. in general, it's the quality of the sound that matters. it's just ridiculous that Ariana can do such crazy things like belting up to Bb5 almost for an entire tour, and not losing her voice, and still say she has a terrible technique. None vocal coach has ever mentioned a problem with her belting/mix technique, other than is not as powerful as they like, but they still say is clear, healthy, and consistent. Of course, she´s not perfect, things like her breath control are poorly developed, but she has still time to improve, and she constantly does it, before her lower register was not existing, but nowadays, she can go down to F3 consistently, and she doesn't get breathless after two minutes.
@@subliminal5543 it does, every vocal coach says that. That's why they say people should be careful if they wanna belt like Christina. That's the reason why the greatest singers preserve their voices for a pretty long time, like Barbra or Patti LaBelle, as long as they don't smoke or do drugs.
@@joanquintero4670 UA-cam keeps deleting my comment so there’s one thing I have to say: technique doesn’t affect vocal health at all, it’s a misconception people think. Just search “Strobovideolaryngoscopic findings in singing teachers” on google, I can’t find the link bcz UA-cam keeps deleting it
I agree with this video. She gets compared to vocalists like Mariah and Celine and she's simply not on their level. Another problem is the music that she sings. She doesn't have an iconic song that will be sung decades from now like Hero or My Heart will Go on (the best she has is God is a Woman). She sounds better when she sings Broadway so if she incorporated that more than into her music then she'd be more appreciated as a vocalist by people who aren't her stans.
I'd argue dangerous woman in general is an iconic album and a pop masterpiece that truly showcases her vocals, still her best to date. no way to tell if it'll be remembered years from now but it sure deserves it lmao
I do feel like One last Time could've been her ultimate iconic song to be honest, but it's not represented as such enough, maybe in the future she will give us a huge ballad record. I mean thank U next is her iconic song now, but like vocally speaking God is a woman might be great as u said
objectively talking, ariana has definitely the talent of one in a million. her extensive 5-octave vocal range, her vocal abilities and agility, her vocal style of mixing pop music and theatrical broadway-type-of voice are insanely pure and show-stopping. she definitely is one of the best in the music industry at the moment, and her legacy is already marked. also, she is not the best. her technique, even though it has improved over the years, is not really good. not to mention she has had some little vocal declining over the years… luckily she could get better from them, but they were still there. in my own opinion, ariana is the greatest musician and vocalist of this time. unlike other monster and over-the-top vocalists (like mariah, whitney and celine -who are better technically talking-), her music is variated, charming and never necessarily the same. she knows how to dance and act too. she is the complete performer. i love her and am glad to state i am part of those who appreciate ariana grande’s talent in its most pure and biased way.
Ariana Grande is the best artist singing live! Those note changes and variety of style she's using while singing live is insane! Definitely the voice of this generation!
I love Ari’s sound! Great voice! POV is one of my fav song right now, I sing it just to do her runs. Love how Mariah has been her biggest influence! But I really would love for her to have a better technique to do them. She uses to much her lower jaw to move her sound, instead of her instrument. Is not bad to do this sometimes for sound effects but as much as she does it can put to much strain in her voice that eventually can harm her. Apart from that, she is one of the best voices out there.
I need to bring something up, Yano when u included clips of her lower register? I feel like everyone forgets her really impressive lower notes in her live performance of Boys Like You, this would’ve been perfect to include here and I never see anyone mention it 🤍
This vidoe made me appreciate Ariana a little more! Not asking but you should check out Jazmine Sullivan if you haven’t already. she’s a bit underrated but the talent is undeniable lol!

Not only I find Ariana kinda cute and funny, but the vocals she delivers are just fire 🔥 Some issues that she needs to improve with is breath control, which kinda sucks honestly. She can sing 1 breath in studio and does 6 live. Which can be harsh in her lower register and the consistency and support are inexistent when she is out of breath. Which makes sense due to her shows being vocally challenging + dancing Also in riffs and runs she uses too much jaw wobbling/tension. Which can really affect her jaw movement.

Ariana is better than adele vocally imo
Her creativity for note changes is one of my favorite things about her... she's definitely an inspiration to me as a singer when it comes to that (other stuff too obviously, but definitely that... there are not many singers nowadays that change their songs THAT much when singing live)
Ariana's honestly is my favourite singer of all time. Technically she's one of the best of our time for sure. She's not perfect but neither is any other singer. Everyone has a register or vocal effect they need to work on. She's a star I love her so much!!!

Ariana is lovely and kind but the most of the fans are toxic af

It amazes me how much stamina she has up there considering how narrow her actual supported range is. Interesting. 🕵️🕵️🕵️

She gets compared to vocalists like Mariah and Celine and she's simply not on their level. Another problem is the music that she sings. She doesn't have an iconic song that will be sung decades from now like Hero or My Heart will Go on (the best she has is God is a Woman). She sounds better when she sings Broadway so if she incorporated that more than into her music then she'd be more appreciated as a vocalist by people who aren't her stans.

objectively talking, ariana has definitely the talent of one in a million. her extensive 5-octave vocal range, her vocal abilities and agility, her vocal style of mixing pop music and theatrical broadway-type-of voice are insanely pure and show-stopping. she definitely is one of the best in the music industry at the moment, and her legacy is already marked. also, she is not the best. her technique, even though it has improved over the years, is not really good. not to mention she has had some little vocal declining over the years… luckily she could get better from them, but they were still there.
in my own opinion, ariana is the greatest musician and vocalist of this time. unlike other monster and over-the-top vocalists (like mariah, whitney and celine -who are better technically talking-), her music is variated, charming and never necessarily the same. she knows how to dance and act too. she is the complete performer. i love her and am glad to state i am part of those who appreciate ariana grande’s talent in its most pure and biased way.

Consistent upper belts: Her strenght and not even her best examples, when she's doing private concerts shes way more confident and relaxed (ofc), idk if you know this show but yall should check her private show at LA paris back in 2015 and Le Trianon back in 2016 ua-cam.com/video/Pd-4Cxw0vW8/v-deo.html
Top-notch vibrato: always a point for me, her vibrato on mid belts are so perfect
Lower register: ppl always say this is her weak register but they dont realize she's not just a soprano, she's a REALLY HIGH light lyric soprano, her F#4 have the same sound quality that Mariah's D4, with means Ariana's D3s would be like Mariah's Bb2s on Mariah's voice
Gorgeous falsetto: Well, for me is no doubt she have the most consistent and conected falsetto in pop music and comparing to others vocalists too
Closing Thoughts: People puts so much pressure on her as a vocalist and understmate her a lot, i fell like arianators are always putting her "higher" bc we literally saw every performance of her so we know what she is capable of
Let's just point it out, she's a POPSTAR that could be a vocalist, not a VOCALIST that is a popstar and there's a huge difference on that: she doesn't train
Ariana is the queen of note changes there isn’t any artist to ever exist that’s as creative and does as much note changes as her

@@KajiVocals why Michael Jackson is not on the list ?
Not only I find Ariana kinda cute and funny, but the vocals she delivers are just fire 🔥
Some issues that she needs to improve with is breath control, which kinda sucks honestly. She can sing 1 breath in studio and does 6 live. Which can be harsh in her lower register and the consistency and support are inexistent when she is out of breath. Which makes sense due to her shows being vocally challenging + dancing
Also in riffs and runs she uses too much jaw wobbling/tension. Which can really affect her jaw movement.
THE GRAND NIGHTINGALE : ARIANA GRANDE
The Pop Diva Supreme
No.... The Grande voice
