Great video! Also, if you're removing a whole roomful of trim and planning to reuse it in the same space, LABEL your trim as you remove it! So you don't have to puzzle-piece it back in :)

Thanks, Sandra. I´ll get me a 5 in 1 tool today. Nobody, nobody could recommend me what to use at Lowe´s except a crow bar. I couldn´t find anything that was really thin. Thank you for the tips.

Try to cut flat and downward into the caulk without cutting the drywall paper-- it appears you were cutting against and into the wall with your paint tool. it helps to score the caulk vertically in the gap between the back of the trim and the face of the wall to avoid minimal cutting into the sheetrock wall material.

*Install was easy **fireplace.homes** good although I personally had some difficulty with the thermostat I had. Issue was mine though, not realizing that electric heaters couldn't use oil thermostats. Tip: If you are using an external thermostat, run the power to the thermostat, not the unit. Once that was squared away it worked great.*

Great vid; thanks! We're dealing with cat pee ... so far have removed carpet/padding; treated with anti-icky-poo; sealed underflooring with BIN; thought we had it nailed. But every couple of days we get stink. Think it's related to temperature/humidity. So next step is to explore with black-light (UV), after removing baseboards. Eventually we may have to give in, burn the place down, and collect insurance.

1 cup water with 2 tablespoons bleach combined with 1 teaspoon liquid hand-dishwashing detergent - one that has a perfume or smell of its own, like Ivory or Dawn - increase the quantities proportionately to fit into a spray bottle of 3 - 5 cups volume. Then, to prevent further spraying, use a LIGHT application of clove or cinnamon oil, but be careful because the oils can stain the area a darkish brown. I put tin foil down & then place oil-soaked paper towels or tissues on top of the tin foil - & I leave it there (refreshing it as needed) for months until the cat gets it thru his head that the area has MY stink, not his!
I've also found the "Simple Green" cleaner simplegreen.com/products/all-purpose-cleaner/ is good for removing the smells. I dilute it down approx. 1/4 cup to 2 - 3 cups water & lightly spray the areas daily where the cat is marking. Dilute it pretty well, otherwise that green tone might come thru with repeated applications.

I use a wide plastic or metal putty knife inserting it just a bit in between the base board then using the nail crowbar working it down where putty knife is inserted slowly prying on the board as preasure is going against the putty knife keeping the wall from being damaged works great everytime👍👍

We are having to replace the floor due to a plumbing repair -- the plumber jackhammered through our beautiful tile and through our slab! LOL! We are going to lay down a floating luxury vinyl plank floor in case there are ever any other plumbing repairs.. that way it won't at least damage the flooring.

I use a bead of caulk on the back of moulding which helps to "glue" it in place. I use an 18 ga nailer to nail into the studs but if you miss studs, the caulk helps hold the moulding to the wall.
