Terri you are not correct in stating that Jesus Christ redeemed the whole world . He made provision for redemption when He died for our Sins , but not everyone will accept the free Gift of salvation . In Romans 10: 8-11 who so ever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved . Jesus is Risen , but the catholic religion has Him still nailed to the cross .There is also no such thing than a servant of the cross , One has to serve the living Jesus Christ Savior and Lord .

Father Mark I find by listening to you I feel closer to belonging to the Catholic faith. I'm A convert and long for preaching to help me feel closer to Jesus. It seems like the priests I've come to know from church didn't have the true love of Jesus show thru their preaching like when you preach Gods Word. Thank you Fr. Mark, for this powerful homily! Happy Feast day for yesterday, too! How incredible is the power of God’s love for us! The story of the girl you told us was so beautiful and full of hope, and also the story of the priest as well! I myself have recently experienced an awakening of God’s love, and it’s so powerful that it would seem too good to be true! I have read, and re-read words from God the Father that bring such joy, renewed hope and new life that brought tears of joy! For the first time ever, surrendering myself to the love and will of God has become so much easier, and I feel like a little child again. There is such freedom and peace in trusting and letting go, and giving oneself wholly to God. Looking at a crucifix is also a new experience for me, because I was deeply moved when I read in: God the Father speaks to his children - “if one of my creatures had been enough to atone for the sins of other men through a life and death similar to those of my Son, I would have hesitated. Why? Because I would have betrayed my love by making a beloved creature suffer, rather than suffering Myself, in my Son. I would never have wished My children to suffer.” God is love, and love is the greatest power on earth and in heaven!

Father, I love your homilies! The Lord told me that He loves me at a time when I really needed to hear it! It has transformed my life and I only wish that everyone could hear His Message. He really does love us and like most parents, only wants the best for His Children. But they have to be willing to hear His message of love. I heard Him at a time when I most needed to hear His message. But we need to be ready to hear and accept his message of love. Hopefully this note will help someone to know what they need to do or feel in order to hear Him because He tells us all the time, we just need to listen to hear Him…..
Fantastic homily. Reminded me of last year when I used to teach theology to high school kids. I told them that if they actually tried to slow down and pray, the very first thing they would experience would be this: being tired. I even did an experiment where I had them talk for 5 minutes, then told them to stop and asked them if it felt like 5 minutes. Of course, they said no it didn't because time flies when you're talking with someone. Then I had them sit and do nothing, absolutely nothing for 5 minutes, naturally I had to bribe them saying if they simply sat there and didn't make a noise or anything they would have no homework that night otherwise it would have never worked! Anyway, they stayed quite and sure enough, they all admitted that they started feeling tired. I told them that when you pray you need silence, but if one's body 'input' senses - hearing and seeing - are being constantly overloaded throughout the day on electronics, then their bodies need to recover from that constant input. If they do not grow used to turning off the phones, computers, consoles, and get used to simply being alone in silence, they will not only struggle to get good rest at night, but it makes it extremely difficult to hear the calming voice of God. Not only is such activity bodily draining, but it is so effective at spiritually distracting a person, they put off praying until the wee hours of the night, only to instantly fall asleep once they do unwind because of their hearing and seeing being dialed to 1,000. Connect into God everyone! Spend time in prayer!
And we now know what us happening now by the rejection of God....Our Father ...is the prayer we must recite every day and we shall know what Jesus wants from us.. The cross is the reminder of Christs love for us❤🙏
Father Mark, in listening to your beautiful peaceful words, I felt an INCREDIBLE peace come over me. I live with anxiety daily, and just hearing the way you talk about having peace in our life created an overwhelming peace within me.
Yesterday after Mass, I saw a young man in deep prayer, with his head bowed, kneeling beneath a vary large Crucifix in our church. I thought, “that’s what I want to do.” ♱ Thank you Fr. Goring for sharing this beautiful homily. Very providential.

I loved what you said about needing to find that place of stillness in order to contemplate our Lord. Before I was converted I practiced stillness, and it was a good practice, but without Jesus it was nothing. However I see now that it was all part of Gods plan. He knew I would find Him, and helped me to slow down enough to really experience His presence, when we finally met, and to really adore Him, and receive His grace. For a time I gave up everything I practiced before I knew Him, but now I realize that this one thing, to be quiet, is actually super helpful! God bless you all at st Mary’s. I would love to visit you all one day!

Yes, the spiritual heart is definitely a GARDEN. St. Therese de Liseux made me aware. I saw her on a dark December night when I prayed the Rosary in a dark room. Her heart radiated sunlight into my heart and I was filled with such unspeakable joy. She told me that inwardly we were the same, and heart heart light is golden sunlight. I felt it inside of my heart which translated every word she spoke to me instananeously.

Thank you Fr. Mark, for this powerful homily! Happy Feast day for yesterday, too! How incredible is the power of God’s love for us! The story of the girl you told us was so beautiful and full of hope, and also the story of the priest as well! I myself have recently experienced an awakening of God’s love, and it’s so powerful that it would seem too good to be true! I have read, and re-read words from God the Father that bring such joy, renewed hope and new life that brought tears of joy! For the first time ever, surrendering myself to the love and will of God has become so much easier, and I feel like a little child again. There is such freedom and peace in trusting and letting go, and giving oneself wholly to God. Looking at a crucifix is also a new experience for me, because I was deeply moved when I read in: God the Father speaks to his children - “if one of my creatures had been enough to atone for the sins of other men through a life and death similar to those of my Son, I would have hesitated. Why? Because I would have betrayed my love by making a beloved creature suffer, rather than suffering Myself, in my Son. I would never have wished My children to suffer.” God is love, and love is the greatest power on earth and in heaven!

Father, I love your homilies! The Lord told me that He loves me at a time when I really needed to hear it! It has transformed my life and I only wish that everyone could hear His Message. He really does love us and like most parents, only wants the best for His Children. But they have to be willing to hear His message of love. I heard Him at a time when I most needed to hear His message. But we need to be ready to hear and accept his message of love. Hopefully this note will help someone to know what they need to do or feel in order to hear Him because He tells us all the time, we just need to listen to hear Him…..

Fantastic homily. Reminded me of last year when I used to teach theology to high school kids. I told them that if they actually tried to slow down and pray, the very first thing they would experience would be this: being tired. I even did an experiment where I had them talk for 5 minutes, then told them to stop and asked them if it felt like 5 minutes. Of course, they said no it didn't because time flies when you're talking with someone. Then I had them sit and do nothing, absolutely nothing for 5 minutes, naturally I had to bribe them saying if they simply sat there and didn't make a noise or anything they would have no homework that night otherwise it would have never worked! Anyway, they stayed quite and sure enough, they all admitted that they started feeling tired. I told them that when you pray you need silence, but if one's body 'input' senses - hearing and seeing - are being constantly overloaded throughout the day on electronics, then their bodies need to recover from that constant input. If they do not grow used to turning off the phones, computers, consoles, and get used to simply being alone in silence, they will not only struggle to get good rest at night, but it makes it extremely difficult to hear the calming voice of God. Not only is such activity bodily draining, but it is so effective at spiritually distracting a person, they put off praying until the wee hours of the night, only to instantly fall asleep once they do unwind because of their hearing and seeing being dialed to 1,000. Connect into God everyone! Spend time in prayer!

Yesterday after Mass, I saw a young man in deep prayer, with his head bowed, kneeling beneath a vary large Crucifix in our church. I thought, “that’s what I want to do.” ♱ Thank you Fr. Goring for sharing this beautiful homily. Very providential.

I loved what you said about needing to find that place of stillness in order to contemplate our Lord. Before I was converted I practiced stillness, and it was a good practice, but without Jesus it was nothing. However I see now that it was all part of Gods plan. He knew I would find Him, and helped me to slow down enough to really experience His presence, when we finally met, and to really adore Him, and receive His grace. For a time I gave up everything I practiced before I knew Him, but now I realize that this one thing, to be quiet, is actually super helpful! God bless you all at st Mary’s. I would love to visit you all one day!

Yes, the spiritual heart is definitely a GARDEN. St. Therese de Liseux made me aware. I saw her on a dark December night when I prayed the Rosary in a dark room. Her heart radiated sunlight into my heart and I was filled with such unspeakable joy. She told me that inwardly we were the same, and heart heart light is golden sunlight. I felt it inside of my heart which translated every word she spoke to me instananeously.
