I stumbled across this channel and somehow Sonny's love of food has helped me overcome my mental block about eating. I can't explain it because I'm what Sonny would consider a very limited eater to begin with. Anyway, just wanted to thank you for unknowingly helping me through this struggle.
I’m so glad you found his videos and that they have helped you. There are a bunch of us that get the same benefits from Sonny’s content and his likability helps as well. Some food vloggers eat in a way that is not conducive to people who may have problems eating. But yeah, there is an entire community of people who like Sonny because he makes the experience nice, he’s funny and very real. My personal issues with food are medically related as well. I have a severe digestive disorder as well as short bowel syndrome. So I went from a very plump 290lbs to 145lbs in just one year. Hey Sonny, What I love about your show is that it's not just about the food, you get to know the people and the cultures as well. You nailed it. Best Ever Food Review Show confirmed.
Love your videos Sonny. I discovered your channel as I was hospitalized for almost a year. First they told me I'd die March 2022, and then in November they said I only had a few weeks left. I got a full liver transplant on December 7th 2022. I watched all of your videos while I was bedridden, and enjoyed them so much. Sonny! I'm so happy you're back in Korea. I found your channel during the pandemic when I looked up Korean food reviews and ever since then I've watched literally every single episode on both channels.
Man.... I remember growing up as a little kid in Korea wayyyyy back in the day. We'd each grab a big bucket, go hit a muddy foreshore MILES long, and come back home with a bucket full of seafood. We mostly got clams and crabs, but on some lucky days, we even scored nakjis(smaller species of octopi). 3 hours spent under the Jeonra-do sun, you'd have the next 3 meals covered. And at night, we'd lie down on our lawn, looking up at the milky way. We would get eaten alive by mosquitoes, but we didn't have a care in the world. Boy, I just hit myself with a brick of nostalgia!
