The waltz was dedicated to Countess Delfina Potocka, a Polish noblewoman and close friend of Chopin. Some speculate that the nickname "Waltz of the Little Dog" was inspired by Potocka's little dog chasing its tail, though this isn't confirmed.

i kinda like all chopin pieces but my all time favourites are probably his sonata no. 3 and some of his mazurkas!!❤
