Omg it just pops off???? Why the hell don't all manufacturers do that??? Would make life much easier and make them more money for new seals and new lenses
Those projectors are huge...I have them and my biggest problem is getting the beam pattern to be perfectly horizontal. I had to cut away half of the low beam reflector bowl and epoxy the projector in
@@Peralta1224 4 years later i ask myself the same question as you, what happens if you have drl enabled and upgrade to bi xenon projectors using signal from high beam to get power to the highbeam solenoid
Yes and no. In theory, you can find another projector that uses an H11 bulb type and use that... but performance is going to be lackluster. Performance projectors are made for D1S/D2S/D3S/D4S and H1 primarily.
is it possible to convert the main beam into HID/projector lights aswell?? if so what size projector lens would be needed? 2.5" all round or would it require 3.0" lens

Bulbs, electronics etc. used in any U.S. vehicle need be DOT approved. Case in point: BMW electrical fire in a garage; ( I believe these were LED tail light mods)... upstairs house burned too... Auto Insurance found the Non-DOT approved mod and disallowed claimant recovery.
Definitely, you will just have to run 2 low beam harnesses. www.theretrofitsource.com/hd-relay-9006.html To connect them to your vehicle just run this splitter on the inputs to the harnesses. www.theretrofitsource.com/high-beam-splitters.html

How does the existing wiring work with the new projector?
Been trying to buy the stuff off your website to do this but i cant find any of the stuff needed 😞
i wish there was a person in my country who would understand and do what you did
What country are you located in?
kenya..mechanics and generally everyone touching your car doesn't mean well..they may actually make it worse to earn more from you

man this looked sooo fuckin easy. i dunno why it was a lot harder for me to do an FX-R retrofit into my ZKW OEM HID housing.

Where the bi xenon solenoid wires connects to ?
They will connect to your high beam
If my car has DRL option on the bulb of the highbeam with a 5v signal, where should I wire this solenoide signal? Still in the highbeam signal?

Where can I get those new lenses? The front transparent cover of headlight housing?
The best option is to buy a new OEM unit and use those lenses. There are not a lot of companies that make full-headlight lens replacements.
Is there ANY way to fit projectors and keep the oem bulbs?!?! Seems like no one can pull it off on UA-cam

Do you have to install auto leveling or you can just position them manually and leave them like that?
Great video! The angel lights is held on with 2 clips on each side. Does that come off easily or when you're on a bumpy road for example?
Absolutely not!

What if I am able to find Led bulbs that fit in the hole, would they work?
No. The beam pattern would still be terrible and not bright.
Does this kit work for e90/e92 conversion as well? Where can I find the projectors?
Keniel Martinez look up the e90
excellent video.
Friend an appointment.
How can I clean the reflector? And not damage it?

Thank You
I was going to buy another set of headlight and try and run a dual xenon headlight with halos would that work??
Absolutely! This would require some custom wiring but it can be done!
Please, do a video like this on a bmw e60 with halogen headlight
We might be able to make that happen!
@@RetrofitSource Would greatly appreciate
Do you need a specific dermel or does it matter as long as you can trim the plastic down.
Any Dremel tool will work well.
Brother do you need any coding? For it not to trow a code?
You will not need any additional coding for these lights to work.

Does this come with bulbs? And how does it wire to the car?
Our projector kits do not come with bulbs, they use a relay harness with an HID kit to power the bulbs!
is the size on these projectors 2.5 ?
Yes, the Mini H1 is a 2.5" projector.
May I ask where did you get that yellow high beam reflector piece? Did you paint or wrap it or something?
Paint!

they are not dangerous if wired by someone who knows what he's doing :)

For the price of this kit, i rather buy factory projectors
If you're looking for a budget build, it's not uncommon to go to the junkyard, pull some high-quality OEM HID projectors, and retrofit those!
