When I was young, I danced to techno. Now I'm old, I listen to techno to help me work. One things for certain, it has to be Dave Clarke. He is a techno god.
This guys ability to mix records is absolutely legendary!!! been listening to his mixes for over 20 years now, never fails to amaze me just listen from 9 mins to 15 mins creates his own sounds by just mixing tunes pure class!!!
@@blank-dr2kx well he might have but there are two things about Dave Clark that speak volumes: (i) him slagging off Richie Hawtin for being a "pretend Detroit techno DJ" in a 90s Mixmag interview and (ii) stating in the same article he programs his sets and he doesn't give a fuck what the crowd wants to hear - something he's recently done a complete 180 on probably after realising reading the room is a real DJ skill.

Dave definitely still is, if not one of the worlds best ask/ producers himself.... such grace and elegance with a touch of infinite knowledge he has still..... al praise the musical wonders of the Master Class by Dave Clarke..... ABSOLUTELY RRRRRRRROCKIN!!!!!!
pretty impressed - The Baron is one of only two DJs who's managed to bring me back to liking them (again) after being completely underwhelmed seeing them live. Digweed was the other. His mixer technique hasn't changed much in 30+ years just more magic buttons to fuck around with now, he used to destroy the faders on mixers back then and no doubt not much has changed....
A true legend in the scene who has only ever stuck to his techno routes which deserves legendary status and all the respect from the old school techno crew right up to how your still mixing is immaculate with a true pioneer of the original scene we all love: thanks for the music Dave. 🙌👍🙌
