I got this mower specifically to be able to drive it through a 36 inch door ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend or gate It is a little tight with the grass deflector installed but has more clearance with the deflector replaced by the recycler/mulcher. This model appears to be popular and a little harder to find for that reason. I can't judge the dependability as I have only mowed the yard twice but everything else on the mower is very nice and working fine so far. I added options for the run hour timer, arm backrests, recycler/mulcher, towing bracket, deck lift assist and cover.

Got a half-acre lawn plus a half-acre rough paddock. Currently struggling with a secondhand rider and a borrowed electric Bosch. What I've taken away from watching this video is : I need to order 300 tonnes of poured concrete and bin the whole mowing idea altogether. Ta.

As you say, removing the baffle on the Husqvarna turns it into a discharge deck, making it as capable in long grass as a zero turn IMHO, particularly as the front wheels do not squash the grass down as much as a zero turn, because the front wheels only support a fraction of the weight of the deck, compared to front wheels of the zero turn which carry 50% weight of the entire machine.
Yes, this is true. I would say as capable as a zero turn, as the blade speed of a front deck like this would be a lot lower than a zero turn due to the long drive train of belts from the rear engine to the front
deck. So front deck machines are known for burning through belts when pushed to hard because of this.
Pricing would have been nice.

What ever happened to the mowers with the offset decks , making it easer to get under trees when going forward?
In order to get the mulching concept to work properly......you're going to be cutting way more often.....than you ever intended.......

Great video. What would you recommend for my garden, its about 5000m2, has a formal lawn but we have left most of the rest to grow tall over the summer so grass and flowers upto 30cm. Is there anything for that or do you need a flail. Ideally I need a system which I can much, collect and flail high grass! Seems like a tall order.
Very tall order Andrew. Sounds like you need to machines. Perhaps a ride on for the formal works and then a walk behind brush mower for the heavy stuff 👍🏼

Had a JD Z425 for several years, mowed 2 acres every week. It was ok, but the Kubota mowers can't be beat. Most of the commercial lawn care companies around my neck of the woods run Kubota zero turn mowers, usually the diesel ones.
I use a Deutz. But then again, I'm not a small land holder.

When you turn back 180degrees,is there is a risk to tear up the grass like it is the case for "zero turn type".
I am hesitating between rider like this and 0 turn.

i came here trying to decide which one i need for my business and now i need them all haha i think it maybe to zero turn deck but with the steering wheel as it seems the most versatile. i have no idea what kind of properties ill need to cut so it seems the safer bet
Yes that would be the best bet for all round use. Also the others wouldn’t be suited for business use ie moving around in a van or trailer.
Great video. If you want a good smooth lawn for croquet but also want to be able to do paddocks which is better between the Al-ko mowers you featured?
