I honestly would love a top CB with our first pick. You can't underestimate defense. A lockdown WR paired with Gonzo would be nuts. We will still have a round 2 pick and two round 3's to fill in for our line or LB / WR, plus free agency.
Can't build a team in one year, if he's the top talent and we are up and don't want him, i hope we trade down for two 1st round picks

I actually love when you guys have a writer from the other team on and would appreciate hearing from a fellow bottom of the barrel team's beat guys.

O-line through the draft, d-line too. I don’t want to draft another receiver yet

Taylor. Thank you so much for highlighting the injuries at O-Line and Jake Andrews!
Phill and Tom E. have acknowledged it, but most everyone else has neglected to acknowledge that as well. It’s as if some of them don’t know the roster ha

By the love of God, their first pick needs to be a LT!

It is funny to see Patriots fans and media being exposed to modern receivers. What exactly did people expect? Do Pats fans forget Terry Glenn? He was tame compared to what most receivers are now. Just listen to the Boutte interview. Listen to Pop Douglas mic'd up. That's the WR mindset. Get used to it. The modern NFL WR is closer to Antonio Brown (on the field) than Troy Brown

Exactly! This is what kills me about Javon Baker not being on the field. Talented guys are headaches.

Hey y'all - if the OTs are lower graded than where we slot - do we take McMillan or Burden and the get back into the 1st for the OT or trade back for the OT in the first and try and get back up for Egbuka, Bond, etc

Polk leading college football in contested catches might be more alarming than anything else. As the 2nd or 3rd option going up against corners never getting near the NFL, he was in battles. I doubt he has better hands than Boutte, Douglas, or Bourne on his own team. Seems that he should get the same criticism that juju got, that he isn't the same guy when he's not behind stars. Except at least juju has proven he can be pretty productive in the NFL.

AVP and Peters would have an opinion on the Browns tackles.

That first pick was definitely nerves but if you look at the bottom of screen Wr I think it’s Boutte. He is beating the CB deep. I think they saw this on the touch pad and took advantage of it before the half

I would like to see the Pats sign a top tier proven X for Maye in the offseason

My issue with the front office isn’t the moves they made it’s the moves they are refusing to make now. As of today you can still call Donovan Smith or Charles Leno both of them have played tackle in the NFL granted they aren’t signed for a reason but they are still better options than what’s on the roster and cost you absolutely nothing except money which last time I checked they have plenty of. Forcing Drake Maye to play behind guards you are trying to convert to tackles is like buying a new Ferrari but refusing to put insurance on it. That has absolutely zero to do with injuries and sometimes that can be done today they are refusing to do

Those 2 players already said they do not want to play for New England which is why they do not go after them

Wow, Taylor went on a long and substantial essay about why the OL has been under performing, and Mike just ignored it, and went back to the overly-simple idea that the OL just isn't good, which seems to be the common wisdom around this subject.
But the point is that we haven't even really seen the OL yet, except for maybe one game.
And don't forget that Cole Strange is coming back.
The front office has been doing their job. OL injuries the last couple of years have been beyond insane.

So for this show, Wednesday is the turnover day, but for the patriots it appears to be on Sunday. 😮

Patriots have $36,795,494 under the cap. You could have gotten better quality OL players. Why save this money ? Cheap owners is why.
