    Hello! I am very fortunate to receive an admission to this course and computational mechanics from TUM. I am very interested in having a career in design/automotive, would you think it is better to go to the course in TUM? Just because it is a much more prestige?
    While I was apply for the course, I chose completely based on my interest, but now I think the Automotive System could be a better choice that incorporate both mechanical and electronics, it should have more application in the industry. Have you also heard that people could change their admission program? Thank you for the insightful video!

      @kirankamath  2 роки тому

      Hallo Lau, I think TUM would be a better university as you said.. If you like the course just go for that course

      @@kirankamath Apologies, I mixed up my questions, my question is Computational Mechanics from TUM vs DDM, which one would be better?

      @@matthewlau42 if you want to study something in detail then TUM course would be better I believe... In ddm you just get overview of some topics and dont study in depth and you don't have any opportunity to take electives of your choice... Personally mamy students who came with lot of expectations to learn new topics are disappointed with DDM with no much flexibility and in depth subjects..... I believe TUm course being M.Sc it also provides to lot of choices to select your subjects once you are in the Uni

    That's a great effort and very helpful. My question is regarding the master thesis and internships. What are the chances and criteria to get opportunity to work with automotive giants such as Siemens and Porsche as a part of thesis or as an intern? And Is the course rewarding for future career prospects?

    • @kirankamath
      @kirankamath  2 роки тому

      Finding internships sometimes get a bit difficult, but many of them do get it... Master thesis are more easier to find since it is course requirement...

    • @kirankamath
      @kirankamath  2 роки тому

      Every year one or two students have got at porsche and Siemens in the past.... And about career after studies what I can say is everyone gets something or the other... It just depends how long does it take after studies... Some get as soon as they finish, some in one or two months.. And few a year

    A lot of German universities state that to do a masters in Germany, a minimum of 7 semesters are required. However, most bachelors degrees are 6 semesters long (180 ECTS). Could you please advise on this? Were your bachelors more than 6 semesters long? Great video by the way :)
