I was talking about the after effects of V on creatures/Butcher long term in whatever variant of compound V they are using. Also all the lab bags said temp-V, so I’m pretty sure it was temp. It’s making them erratic. Additionally the rabbit had that thing coming out of it like butcher has inside of him… and butcher hasn’t been exposed to the virus so we know they are independent.

I think only the rabbit was on temp-V, and the same thing that happened to the rabbit, the weird worm thing, is inside of Butcher, when he killed Ezequiel it was probably those weird tentacles and then went back inside. I don't think it's like an alternative personality.
It's kind of both. It's a superpowered tumor like in Diabolical but because it originated from his brain, it seems that it has a bit of a sentience that is actually part of his mind. The cancer in Diabolical was more animalistic since it came from the pancreas. I suppose if the cancer can control where it puts its cells and Butcher is able to reintegate it as part of his mind, it may stop hurting him and become an actual power. It seems to be becoming more aware that it's part of Butcher and may take more conscious steps to preserve his body.
Wait, Butcher took both Temp-V and Perma-V. I think the rabbit was only on Temp-V, which is why it died with tumor tentacles. Perma-V sort of stabilizes the effects of Temp-V and makes that tumor sentient, which will not want the host to die. A very solid plotline of Butchie being the main villain...
perfectly described, what I theorized is the Joe "Tumor" side gives him strength, power, etc. to do what butcher thinks need to be done but if he gives into the Joe Tumor the faster it will kill him while Becca is trying to bring the good out of him.

We actually do have a character similar to butcher in The Boys Diabolical, and we've seen a crap load of references to that short story in this season so far. I think it was a hint about Butchers path.

I’d have a slight correction: the sheep had permanent V as far as we know. The only shown temp V animal is the bunny. They didn’t wear off the Temp V, that was the virus killing them, you can see the virus on their face. His power is that black goo that was coming out of his ears the entire time, which can likely form a solid sort of thing, forming many tentacles, which likely tore apart Ezekiel.

Hughie's dad was already braindead but compound v brought him back for a while before he started losing his memories. Butcher is not yet dead yet he took both temp v and compound v. A-Train is going to have a great battle against Homelander where he Kills himself but in doing so, charges an attack that either gets rid of Homelanders abilities or cripples him and Homelander has to adapt to normal “human” life. You can’t rid of the character or actor because less views obviously. But the Butcher-Joe-symbiotic relationship will be and uncontrollable force of power pent up on committing global supe genocide.
Butcher is starting to slightly become more like his comic book self but with greater quality storytelling , in the comic he just decided to become a mass murder because the plot said so but in the show is a different but not too different and superior way of him getting to that point without ruining his character ! While this episode is the best episode of the season so far but not as good as Herogasm and to be honest this season isn’t as good as last season because season three was storytelling gold while most seasons(season one , two and four so far) of the show were good when it came to the superhero genre in isolation but again season three was storytelling gold !
I think he will make the virus. Continue to have an active conflict with himself over using it because of ryan. And at the end of the show in season 5 a 4 way fight will ensue between homelander and soldier boy vs butcher and ryan. I believe Ryan will mortally wound Soldier Boy leading to his explosion depowering Ryan, Homelander, and Butcher Butcher will probably murder honelander with his crowbar and then after Ryan having the Compound V burned out of his blood he will have 0 problems releasing the virus to kill all supes. But Hughie will most likely be the one to stop and kill him in the end. This is my way of explaining how the narrative will probably go in a similar direction to the comics but in a different way.
After the Season 2 finale I thought that Show Butcher was gonna be way different than Comic Butcher, but now with the virus going airborn I gotta feeling we'll get the comic book ending. It's a good ending but still gut-stretching. MM, Hughie and Frenchie will get in his way to protect Kimiko and Annie.

I think butcher really is transforming into a venom like creature because of the fact that he really does have some parasite inside of him with superpowers or super strength. We see this in butchers back in the shower scene when he’s not hallucinating and is showing the audience. He was actually able to kill Ezekiel by literal strength as the parasite confessed. The super parasite communicates with butcher through his mind because Butcher is its host. Seeing as how every supe in this series is a copy of the DC universe it would only make sense that Butcher will be the copy of venom and not actually something else.

I think they should have done a better job with Joe Kessler being a hallucination have him in more social spaces do some camera tricks and make it seem like he is more alive. Kinda like Joe Goldberg Hallucinating Ryan in You season 4 that shit gave me chills

At times, I def agree that it sounds like he is doing an American version of a UK accent. Like if I was a drunk at a bar and someone asked me to do one.
It may be possible for Butcher to die an honorable death like Ironman in Avengers endgame with Hughie and Ryan being the ones to see him off while he's dying, the screenwriters are always taking notes from either Marvel or DC movies.

Prime studio really fucked up butcher character... His clear motivation was to eliminate all powerful beings, thats y he even kills his own mates in comic. But in series, his character is too much confused.

I think they should have done a better job with Joe Kessler being a hallucination have him in more social spaces do some camera tricks and make it seem like he is more alive. Kinda like Joe Goldberg Hallucinating Ryan in You season 4 that shit gave me chills

What's wrong with Butcher, and it irritates me every time, is that he says 'don' t got'. No English person, let alone a Londoner, would ever say that. We say don't have or haven't got, but more precisely for his character, ain't got. Don't got is as American a phrase as there is.
At times, I def agree that it sounds like he is doing an American version of a UK accent. Like if I was a drunk at a bar and someone asked me to do one.
He probably picked it up when he served alongside the real Kessler's team/ the US. It wouldn't surprise me at least.

Prime studio really fucked up butcher character... His clear motivation was to eliminate all powerful beings, thats y he even kills his own mates in comic. But in series, his character is too much confused.
