I have very oily skin and the Lisa Eldridge foundation is perfect for me. I’m very sensitive to a lot of different foundation ingredients (and even allergic to some), and I have no problems with this foundation. For me, that makes the much higher price worth it. But that’s truly just me.
I watched Lisa Eldridge’s video about the foundation and she had great ideas, tips, and tricks as always. One that might have helped you is using your finger to tap the foundation in spots where you see texture.
Allana, try the Lisa Eldridge foundation with the Supergoop glow screen sunscreen underneath, you won’t regret it. I’m a fellow dry/sensitive skin gal living in Northwestern Ontario and it looks absolutely STUNNING on me. This foundation also looks more and more amazing as the day goes on and vanishes your pores and texture. I think the primer was what didn’t work for you! Hope you give it another try ❤️❤️❤️ and it was Clinique black honey almost lipstick 💄
I have oily skin (combo in winter, but I live in TX so we aren’t quite there yet), and I use Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen under the LE foundation, and it is gorgeous! I hope that she takes your advice and tries the Glow Screen. I’m sure that it ia very cold and dry up in CA right now.
I love the different camera angles in this! Also, Victoria Beckham makeup is officially on my “to try” list after watching you rave about it consistently. That blush is just lovely.
You are so fabulous!!! I have watched so many LE reviews and all seemed so enamoured that it is LE that I felt it overshadowed an honest review. You are my go to for honesty and I thank, thank, thank you. I'm okay with spending $100 on a foundation if it is worth it and what I was seeing and what people were saying were not making sense until your review!!! Never miss one of your videos!
We are similar in coloring, & I use the LE foundation in #10. Lisa herself said she is shade #11 (in a video). Thinking texture would show up less w higher number foundation. You are so lovely. Thanks for being a part of our everyday!
I have dry skin and I have this foundation and I learned that using less is what works best for me!! also im like positive you could have done shade 7 because its light with neutral undertones. anyway you still made it look perfect as per usual :)
Completely agree. The little blister pack of my shade gave me 6 applications. It looked so lovely, people were commenting on it during zoom calls. The bottle arrived yesterday, and I squirted out too much - half a pump maybe? It did not look or feel great, and my undereyes looked awful by mid afternoon. I tried to salvage it with Fix Plus and a sponge, but lesson definitely learnt. Tiny amount, super thin layer.
Yes! I had Lisa colour match and apply this foundation to me. Some takeaways: prep your skin properly, use small amounts of foundation with a flat brush using tapping and small sweeping motions. Lisa’s new makeup brush for foundation is really nice. Lisa mentioned in a video she’s looking at stocking her products in Canada to omit the expensive import fees for customers.
@@TonyaSivell That would be amazing! I literally cry every time the duties are asked for at customs. The conversion is a lot already! Anyway, I feel so strongly about it and I just needed to say all of this in case you were put-off 😊

You’re not alone and I’m glad I’m not alone either. Love her stuff but it does expose my pores and dry my skin out a bit. Will keep trying different primers etc in hopes something works :)
Me too! I always hate to comment because the world loves the LE foundation and I can't stand it. Soooo dry for my skin and hard to apply..for me anyway. Thought I was the only person in the world!

Totally loving the two angle set up! It's really eye-opening to see the texture on your skin, especially on the side angle. I love that you keep it real and show how texture enhancing products can be!
I remember you saying the “fancy business woman” comment during your FF Burberry video. The makeup you used/did in that video has ALWAYS stuck with me.
Wow. Love the eyeshadows the blushes and the highlights. Thank you so much for reviewing. Love to hear what your final thoughts are on the foundation. Have a great rest of the weekend. 🥰🥰
Black Honey / Clinique / my favorite for years. Just bought 2 more! The color just makes your teeth whiter and goes with all skin tones. I am 65 and when I say… I mean YEARS! 😂
Beautiful look! I never noticed for many freckles you have (maybe new camera?). I just bought a few of the VB blushes myself and it's so nice to see them in another video ( you have different shades than mine) because I find her website doesn't show the shades exactly as they are. The one you have on is perfect for your coloring. Just lovely through and through.
@@erin7241 I 100% agree - sunscreen is must. Skin cancer is on the rise, too, so it's not just about vanity (not that there's anything wrong with that). I stopped sunbathing in my thirties - but it's so fun (not) how all that exposure is coming up on my skin now!

@@erin7241 wow girl, the melanoma journey part was a bit harsh, but I agree, it seems that not enough people know how bad sun exposure is. Love Lisa Eldridge but I had the same issues with this foundation in terms of texture and pores. I do have dry skin. Will keep trying different primers and/or moisturises as I love the shade range and so want it to work for me :)
Hey Allana! I have super dry skin like you, and I think you would love the smashbox halo tinted moisturizer! I use it with the primerizer and I love it for winter 💗
I’m lucky that i live in London. So i went to the LE pop up store. The experience was lovely. The SA made sure i hade the right shade, 10, and id say l’m similar colouring to Lan, she did a full face, went outside in daylight to make sure i was happy with the colour, so a lot of effort spent with consumers. I’m mature, some pores and line but my skin is normal. I tried this the Lisa way from her video, i used Bobbi brown enriched face base and then the foundation. One light layer evened out everything. It set and didn’t need powder, but after a couple of hours it was so shiny. I tried Dior backstage primer today and it looks a bit better, but still a shine after 3-4 hours. It looks great for a couple of hours, so it would be good for photos or a special occasion and it looks just like you but better and so skin like. I love LE but i hate to say i have nicer foundations in my collection. I have the Dior natural nude, and that’s fabulous for an oldie. Even bite beauty change maker is lovely. I will persevere and try other primers with it. Your finished look was beautiful, but should you have to use a gallon of spray to get it took decent at that price.
The total cost of this foundation for Canadians is painful. I'm half Inuit half Caucasian and #6 is THE ONLY foundation shade that perfectly matches my skin, to the point that it's even undetectable outside in full sun. I'm 44 and have never found a shade like this, so having to pay the price+ duties is truly horrendous...but when you've spent over 30 years buying foundation that never matched, I have thousands of dollars sunk in to a foundation graveyard, what can I do? 😔
Taitai7 And those in the U.S. get FREE SHIPPING. They pay nothing extra! They just covert it to U.S. dollars and that's it! Nothing extra. Now that hurts. :( We pay the crazy high conversion rate, which I'm totally fine with, plus is there not a shipping cost on that? And then yes, the duties fee. Ouch. No way that's worth it.
Wow!!! It all looks beautiful!!. I have the lip tint from VB in same color but looks brownish on me bcs I m a brown girl lol. I love it on me. It looks more berry color on you. Thank u for this video. As always u look beautiful 😊.
yup, that's literally what happened to me when I bought her lipstick. nearly $100 for a lipstick. Import duties yikes! So glad to have a fellow Canadian break it down for us.
I have the same issues with the LE foundation 😫😫 and when I paid it with skin food or something else more moisturizing it doesn’t set down… additionally my shade doesn’t really exist in the line despite the large range. So overall it broke my heart! Still love LE though and can’t wait to see what’s to come.
You look lovely! So excited for LANMAS :) Would love to see a video of follower recommendations. Also, plz buy Mac Trace Gold blush for your golden cheeked dreamzzzzzz!

You always remind me to order a new fix + lol thank u ❤️ also you were thinking of Clinique Black Honey !
I’ve been wanting to see the la bouche rouge brand!!! Love these types of videos. This made my night lol.
I’m Chinese/Eastern European and #6 is my perfect shade too! I’ve never been able to match my skin tone before so this foundation is such a blessing
Love the eye shadows!!
Love the camera angles
my life goal would be to have lisa eldridge do my makeup 🙌
yup, that's literally what happened to me when I bought her lipstick. nearly $100 for a lipstick. Import duties yikes! So glad to have a fellow Canadian break it down for us.
Gorgeousssss loved this!
So excited for LANMAS :)
Would love to see a video of follower recommendations. Also, plz buy Mac Trace Gold blush for your golden cheeked dreamzzzzzz!
Hope you and yours are safe out there 😘. Hugs from central Ontario Canada 🇨🇦🐱🐈
