I think that where we talk about love, such a concept as worship is wrong. In love we are always equal, because someone who loves never does see in another his servant, but a brother. Otherwise, it is not pure love, but dependence and on top of that, lined with fear.

Vulnerable ..Vulnerability is the state of being open to injury. Rejection the act of refusing to accept, use, or believe. Or acknowledge . often shows up as an emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger.. God is complexity and we are like him. So to know ourselves is to know God as surely true and trustworthy and supportive and all that would be possible for us. Oh boy. It's not easy to quantify God . ..

Where does the Torah say we naturally love God?

    • @jacobjackson7115
      @jacobjackson7115 23 дні тому +1

I have the same question. I find it repeatedly says the opposite: the heart needs to be circumcised in order to obey God (Jeremiah 4:4, Leviticus 29:41, Deuteronomy 10:16). This implies in order to love God we must be going against our natural inclination to love ourselves. In this context it is supernatural that we love God. Only God can work this love for God in our hearts and cut off from our hearts all lust and self centeredness (Deuteronomy 30:6). Perhaps he meant "naturally" in a different way. Like how Proverbs 22:6 implies a well trained child will not depart from the way he should go. If there is a verse in the Torah as he mentioned at minute 1:08 please share. Thanks

To be told that if we do not love God we will go to hell, I see that as just terrifying us into belief, if we truly in our hearts know what is right and be kind to others I feel this is far better than forcing yourself to act like that just because your terrified not to. The heart should long to be a kind good person, I’ve always been like this but life and health problems left me like I had no choice but to play bullies back at their own game, I mean crack cocaine addicts that are swamping my home town In UK and will try steeling everything and anything.

The Torah of 5 books NEVER mentions "Jews" one time, EVER. There are Israelites!
Before that there was Noah and that covenant too.
Where in Torah does it say the "jew" or even the Israelite "naturally" loves God...

This may be off topic but is food for thought.
To understand God one should first understand the nature of knowledge. Knowledge inherently has no physical form. That which we see is the physical representation of knowledge. For instance, imagine all light bulbs on earth are destroyed, even then the knowledge of the light bulb still exists. Since knowledge inherently has no physical form, it is eternal (no beginning & no end) Now with that said one needs to understand the different types of knowledge. 1st of course is the knowledge of awareness. We know that it exists because it is what we truly are. We are the knowledge of awareness & since we know that knowledge inherently has no physical form, we know that what we truly are is eternal in nature. (no beginning & no end). Our bodies are the physical representation of the knowledge of all it's corresponding parts. If the knowledge of a thing didn't exist then we would never see the physical representation of it. Now if we know that we are eternal in nature, then we know that some other being did not create us, or even create the knowledge of the light bulb, since it too is inherently eternal (no beginning & no end). However, that is not to say there isn't an intelligence of awareness that has been awakened unto the knowledge of all things. (Effectively making them GOD). One could argue that there is truly only this One knowledge of awareness (GOD) in existence and it is focusing it's awareness in every variation of perceived reality simultaneously. Which effectively makes us all apart of a single whole. For instance imagine you where seeing reality through 2 different bodies at the same time, the first body being of a male design and the second body being that of a female design. Now it would still be you perceiving reality through both bodies but individually they would be perceptually separate. On the other hand one could argue that since one piece of knowledge is eternally separate from any other piece of knowledge, like the knowledge of the light bulb is eternally separate from the knowledge of a strawberry. One could argue there is a single unique piece of knowledge (That is you) combined with the knowledge of awareness effectively setting you apart from all others. Eternal none the less.

"Religion is good for the world because it makes us aware of God." IMO its most vital usage/functions appear to be that it is able to organize people with a widespread universal moral code and ideology. A world without any religion seems like it would result in chaos. Better to have larger factions than small ones for the sake of an organized society to coexist. Which seems to be becoming a non-factor in a world where society is beginning to distance with the advancement of technology.

sometimes rabbies does not understand relity deep enpugh or they are sick for power .
the torah does not rule over reality , because these are simply words said by someone with authority .
but no adjustment to reality - why should someone keep shabat in a way he does not feel pleased and gives up his own will
to a rabbi or a rabbi who thought that god wanted him to avoid lighting up fire on shabbat .
if he is pleased to lit up fire and rest this way , why not , god made the cration for himself and his creations , not for them to serve him like slaves , giving up their will and pleasing him without ever understanding what he wants .
you just relay upon authority and ranks , instead upon skill and ability , trust you selves if you want , live life as you see fit in your own mind ,
but add if you will a slight touch - no taking other peoples part , each has its own and can add to himself in a linear good manner .
harming others is good only when needed to fend them off or make retaliation .
only a recommendation you are not obliged .
secondly , I would say rabbi Manis , your appreciation for love and relationship enlightend me that seeing someone as a love supplier .
is wrong , but seeing someone as they are and wanting them , because they are them , that is love and relationship that gives peace .

It would be so nice to just have a book that had all the answers in it, and was unquestionable. I almost find some weird wisdom in that, but I just ask way too many questions haha

@4:07 "What is there to love about this?" The simple fact that everything G-d does for us, He does so knowing we cannot really do anything for him i.e. he doesn't truly need or want for anything. This makes us beneficiaries of Divine charity. Therefore, we love Him.

My mum told me I talked of G-d from almost the moment I started speaking, I accepted G-d existed all my life. G-d to me exists end of, cannot say it any better, just like we need air to breathe, it is a fact. Nothing to do with religion, yes am Jewish but I believe in G-d and am Jewish, they are separate things and if I had not been born Jewish I think I would have become Jewish as to me there is only G-d no inbetweener. My life like most has been hard and people ask me why do you still believe in G-d, and what has he done for you. To me, it is not a belief, it's as I call it a 'Knowing' G-d exists just like the earth we live on does. What happens in my life is up to me and other humans not G-d - he gave me life for me to live. When I die, he will do as he wishes with me( soul).

If you are a true Jew... you do naturally love God. If you don't, are you really a Jew? Calling yourself a Jew, deciding to be a Jew, and actually being a Jew, are vastly different things.

    Acts 17:24-27 CSB
The God who made the world and everything in it-he is Lord of heaven and earth-does not live in shrines made by hands. [25] Neither is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives everyone life and breath and all things. [26] From one man he has made every nationality to live over the whole earth and has determined their appointed times and the boundaries of where they live. [27] He did this so that they might seek God, and perhaps they might reach out and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.
Needed nothing from us. But wants us to reach out for him, because he wants you. ❤
