I have a question.
Most cars do not have same axle length in front and rear axles. So, by using this method the steering may get a toe in or toe out.
For eg,
Maruti 800's front axle is wider than rear therefore your method will produce a toe out condition but according to Maruti, there should be toe in of 2-5mm.
maruti 800
|---------| ->front axle
|-------| ->rear axle
By your method, a toe out will be produced as follows
\---------/ ->front axle
|-------| ->rear axle
In case of cars like Indica, they have wider rear axles. So the opposite will happen.
I've seen your method in my local garages and never really understood how it worked.
Please revert.
It doesn't matter keep thread far from narrow side and near from wider side. For eg keep thread 5 CM far from wider side wheel and it will become 5+ from narrow side wheel itself, then both the wheels will be parallel to thread and rest is same

Hi. Sir maine alto k10 k axel change kiya ae. Ab left side wheel slight tight ghum raha ae . Caliper pin bhi thk ae. Axel genuine maruti k hai. Mechanic bol raha ae k apne aap CHL kr thk ho jaaega left side wheel slight tight ae axel . Alignment bhi karaa liya. Any suggestion please??

Sir, mere pass chevrolet spark hai 2010 model 6 month pahle wheel alignment karaya tha uske bad se steering sidha karne se car right direction me move karti hai chahe to steering chhod du to bhi, steering me movement nhi hota but car right direction me move karti hai. Iska fir se wheel alignment karaya to ab steering left direction me move karti hai, sidha chlane ke liye abhi steering ko right side thoda daba ke chlana parta hai. Kya karen iske liye 3 bar wheel alignment kara chuka hun. Please suggest me.

Sir ji meri i10 grand hai.. use ki wheel alignment kiya, alignment tho sahi hai. fir bhi car thodi left side jati hai.. Electronic staring hai kya muze scanner se staring calibrated karna padega?
