19 years ago and I still remember the atmosphere. I can’t even listen to this album without his presence overwhelming me 😭😭😭
I told several friends I miss this type or season of worship. Then I found out a close friend of mine attended CFNI during this time period. Kari and Rick led worship. Praise God for CFNI and the students that leave there to be ambassadors for Christ!
Yup me too. It's like this type of worship haven't sort of reached its peak yet. Songs are still relevant to this day, but seems not many like this kind of worship music.

Old but gold..
What is old? or current? or cool? or whatever, in God's kingdom? Temporal vs. eternity. There are countless songs/hymns, inspired by the Holy Spirit, gifted to the Church through the ages, which are ignored/forgotten/discounted by so many congregations/movements in a quest to achieve some form of contemporary relevancy. (I'm not picking on you sister - but the general mindset).
Romans 15:5 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, 6 so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7 Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. 8 For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews on behalf of God’s truth, so that the promises made to the patriarchs might be confirmed 9 and, moreover, that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. 13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
I appreciate your take but the saying words are flat is so true , you assumed my heart/ mindset behind these words...I used to listen to this song when I just got saved. It holds such a sentimental part of my walk with Jesus. It reminds me of those wonderful days with the Lord, it's been a while since I'd listen to it. Nothing deep ❤❤❤

Never been sure about the lyric ‘You and I romance’, but have always loved this song. One of CFNI’s classics.
Spend some time in Song of Songs and you'll catch it
God is so romantic. We just have a warped view of romance because we think God doesn’t care about those aspects of life. But catch this: with regard to the covenant of marriage between a man and woman, that union, with its pleasures, passions, commitment and faithful promises is a vivid picture of Jesus and His Bride whom God His Father has espoused to His son. Paul even said he espouses is as a chaste virgins to Jesus the Bridegroom. There is romantic language all through the scripture.
As “the bride of Christ”, we must always be in a position of allowing ourselves to fall in love with Jesus…
…that’s a romance
