- Very happy with this paint and water only experiment! I'm using all Amsterdam paint mixed with just water, no silicone, floetrol, or pouring medium. I think the end result is beautiful even though the Amsterdam gold didn't make the same lacing produced with pouring medium. I'm loving these experiments and learning more about this wonderful style of art. 🎨

RECIPE:
- Titanium White, Burnt Umber, Vermilion, Primary Yellow, and Gold are all Amsterdam standard brand paints mixed with only water. Paint to water ratio - 60:40

I really like this color combo. It's a fall/Thanksgiving vibe. I'm not surprised you didn't end up with green like you thought though, brown and yellow definitely don't make green.

It still came out beautiful! Also, without a PM I have used decoart 24k and did get the cells and lacing and for a lot I used the decoart extreme sheen 24k. There was A LOT of action! Lol great job! Thank you for sharing

I think its very pretty. Is the white paint the one thats creating the cells? I'm trying to learn all I can before I dive into fluid art!!
Thank you, Pamela! Yes the Amsterdam Titanium White is making the cells. It’s a very heavy paint so it sinks to the bottom while the lighter paints rise to the surface, making cells. I’m happy to help and answer any questions 🤗

That came out beautiful even with lesser cells. I haven't tried using Gold till now. If I mix it with Liquitex pouring medium and water will I get cells?
Thank you! I’ve never used liquitex pouring medium before but I’m assuming you’d get cells. The gold I’ve found that makes better cells is Soho or Pebeo.

Can you please let me know which dryer are you using? The one I have blows too much even at the lowest setting so want to buy one that has lower air flow so that I have more control over it. Does your dryer have cool air button?

Hi, I think it should be fine as long as it’s varnished.
Your paint is expensive, I'll stick with PVA ,water and Artists loft acrylic paint.
