I do love these videos- they take me back to my "Everyday Electronics" magazine days in the early '80s. Such a shame there are so few electronics hobbyists these days. I hope your videos inspire others to build some projects as it is great fun!
Thanks again and glad you enjoyed this one. Yes, it is a shame that more younger people to not get a chance to investigate low voltage electronics projects. Funny, when we all enjoyed Practical Electronics and the like we did not have the pocket money to buy the components nor were they easily available. Now, components are so numerous and cheap and can so easily be sourced online, even if one has to wait for a package from abroad. Gone are the days of hunting for bits, trying to get to a hobby shop or looking at lists of 'equivalents' whilst not really understanding that the exact value of the component was probably not critical! Thanks again for your support and enthusiasm, and yes, I hope others will feel that they can take a bit from these projects. I know my 5 year old does! More to come soon. Must get the crystal set one done!
Yes, seems like there is a generation that did this. I used to buy the really old copies too with thermionic valve projects. Most were beyond me in terms of components and knowledge at the time!
