It definitely feels like once they came back after their hiatus, every album starting with Queendom has perfected their experimental style with blending the Red and Velvet styles together into some indescribably perfect tracks.
In fact, when Red Velvet made a comeback on FMR and performed the song In My Dream, Wendy and Yeri had just recovered from Covid, but they sang In My Dream well. If you hear them, they seem hoarse when singing because Wendy and Yeri have just recovered from Covid and yeri had told me that her throat was so sore that she couldn't speak when she had covid, but when I sang this I was proud of yeri, she was able to handle it well, her throat was definitely not 100% healed.
It’s Red Velvet! Expect the unexpected. Somehow they keep on topping themselves. You think they are on the highest level but they keep on stepping up to the next tier. Legends.
@@SylverReacts a must see/listen is Wendy singing Everybody Hurts Sometimes on Open Mike, just released recently. Another indication of how they keep on improving after all these years.
Many kpop groups sample classical music in their songs but no one does it better than Red Velvet its just so good😍 They used Johann Bach's "Air on the G String" as the sample and released this MV on Bach's bday March 21! Detailsss Half of the MV is based on Hieronymus Bosch's painting "The Garden of Earthly Delights" and other half of the MV has other art references For example : Ophelia - John Everett Milley The Swing - Fragonard The Woman Holding the Umbrella - Monet etc. This whole album is in my playlist but "In My Dreams" is definitely my favorite! Thx for the reaction ♥️♥️
My listening to the bridge of "Feel My Rhythm" has changed forever after last year's SMCU Palace Jakarta 2023 concert stage! In the context of Red Velvet in 2023, there is a constant shortage of members when they go on stage. Before R to V, an entire concert was canceled indefinitely due to the health of various members. Joy was seriously ill for a long time, Wendy had Covid, Yeri had Covid... Fans were extremely looking forward to OT5 Red Velvet's stage in Jakarta and so were Red Velvet themselves. Before the concert, SM announced that Irene's health was not good even though she went to Indonesia but would not perform. But that night Irene still went on stage... despite her weak condition. Seeing her stagger and almost faint at the bridge of "Feel My Rhythm", Yeri grabbed Irene's elbow instead of straightening her palm like the other members to prevent Irene from falling on stage and still maintain the correct choreography. It was an absolute nightmare and fear to watch, and even now watching it again gives me goosebumps. I felt like Irene was no longer conscious and alert at that time. She wanted a complete OT5 stage, and her strong will helped her complete the rest of the song. With medical support, Irene could complete the company song (H.O.T.'s - 'Hope') with all the artists and say goodbye to the audience.
This album is always gonna be my favorite. From the title track, the visual, the MV, also the B-side (I'm obsessed with In My Dreams). Red Velvet always know how to make an amazing discography.
and I'm really really excited to get to Chill Kill, I actually pre ordered the album in anticipation of the deep dive, and have had it on my table behind me unable to listen to it until we get there, and it's eating me up! I even got lucky and pulled the Wendy version before I knew she was my bias lol
Chill Kill is my favorite album, FMR is my favorite mini-album. But this is unquesrionably my favorite title track from them. FMR uses a sample of "Orchestral Suite #3, Air on the G-string" by Johann Sébastien Bach.
Sylver thank you for reacting to this album. Yes this album is a banger, from the title track - FMR - all the way to In My Dreams which is one of my fav songs of theirs. But man, wait till you hear the Chill Kill album - just WOW. That whole album blew me away, I still can't believe how crazy good that whole album is, and that's saying something since RV's albums are all top notch. Can't wait for you to react to it.
It would have been understandable why they were the best among the prominent 3rd generation girl groups. (3rd generation competitors were Blackpink and Twice.) The third generation was the era where idols were finally called artists. They made it that way. I'm a little worried about the 4th generation these days. I think the artist title should have been removed again.
I really recommend watching reactothek reaction to this they are classical musicians who react to kpop and they explain a lot of elements and details about this feel my rhythm they sampled the classical piece air on g string by Bach and include a lot of elements of classical art from Bosch as well as many famous paintings u might recognize fun fact they released fmr on Bach's birthday !

“you can’t do that to me red velvet “ me the first time I listened to beg for me!! I lose my mind everytime I listen to it 😭😭
For real though I can't even with them sometimes lol

Gotta love it, somehow they continue to shock and surprise me!

Oh man, that's intense, poor Irene! I know she wished to complete the stage for herself and the ReveLuvs, but geez man that's rough all the love to RV
The "R to V" concerts in Korea were cancelled entirely because of the Pandemic, not because of any of the individual members.
This album is always gonna be my favorite. From the title track, the visual, the MV, also the B-side (I'm obsessed with In My Dreams). Red Velvet always know how to make an amazing discography.
They sure do!
Favorite title track, fave rv mini album. just love everything about fmr
It's an absolutely amazing ep!

It's the best song to sample a classic!
Red Velvet hasn't been on Weekly Idol since Irene & Seulgi's Monster
First song to last, this mini-album is richly satisfying. A true delight for us ReVeluvs!
you are so right! I've had this album on repeat since I recorded it!

I loVe FMR but my favorite album is chill kill album
Nice! I’m looking forward to it! I actually already own a copy of the physical album that I preordered before we started the deep dive!
@@SylverReacts I already have the physical album you gonna love it . I will wait for that deep dive 😜
The MV mainly referencing of "Garden of Earthly Delights" (1490-1500) painting by Hieronymus Bosch
I didn't even catch the Bosch reference, I love it!
