This phone ( x73) doesn't display the names of the callers which are already stored in the memory, but displays their number only,just like any unknown caller.Is there any remedy for this ?

That might be a problem with your phone. Contact the seller.
Just one thing to check .. you should hear a beep when you place the phone on base unit for charging and display illuminates..

Signal getting lost if we disconnect the power. What would be the issue?
Yes .. it is because base unit needs power and from base unit your cordless receive signal . Without base unit being connected to power your cordless would not work . It is normal with every cordless phone.

You have to always keep the base unit connected to power, and then the cordless works. Cordless is basically a landline phone
